My 90-year-old Grandmother and I spent three lovely days at this cosy and atmospheric farmhouse where Rachel, our host, made us feel so welcome and looked after us so well. We were offered a much-needed cup of tea on arrival; our twin room with spotlessly clean, warm bathroom was extremely comfortable and had beautiful views across the garden and down...

Stayed in Eden Lodge. Beautiful views from door across valley. Goose is very funny - puts the ducks and hens in order each day! Pigs entertaining and goats loved their heads fussed when in their pens. Rachel friendly on arrival - but only met Julian briefly when checking out. By reading other comments it would seem that Bed & Breakfast...

Rachael and her lovely family were so welcoming. They truly went above and beyond in their farm to make it feel like home. I was looking for a true farm where I could mingle with the animals and have a quiet respite away from it all. It was that and more. I interacted with the animals, and filled my heart...

We thorougly enjoyed our stay and looking forward to visiting again as soon as we can. The whole family were welcoming and we were made to feel very special, nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic mouthwatering food and between us, we did more or less try everything on the menu! Hubby was pleased that alcohol could be purchased too, so...

Well placed for both country and seaside, North Wheddon Farm is a superb place to stay and centre to explore the area. We were made to feel very welcome with an offer of tea on arrival. Bedroom (Cricketers) very comfortable and well-equipped with a southerly view over the countryside. Breakfasts were exceptional for a small B&B with such things as...

This is excellent base for Exmoor hiking. We walked from Wheddon Cross to Purlock which is a fabulous hike with a wide variety of types of scenery from rolling green hills to gorse moor to oak forests. The B&B itself is very comfortable with good food and friendly hosts. There is pub within walking distance which serves tasty food at...

We took on a great bargain for a home from home base and a chance to see the Exmoor countryside in springtime. Good food a big comfortable bed and very friendly hosts are the reasons we come back. The weather was varied depending on where you were and we managed to find the sun in Appledore, Marwood Garden, Arlington Court...

Excellent value, an insight into rural life, sublime views, cosy accommodation, succulent meals, friendly and helpful hosts - what's not to like? The location is perfect for a walking weekend or longer. The car can be parked (incidentally - plenty of space for this too) and forgotten about. The waking routes available are manifold. Go to Exmoor and stay at...

We stayed at North Wheddon Farm for a long weekend for my "Hen Do" and had a wonderful time. We rented both self catering cottages as there were 8 of us and both properties were warm, cosy and very well equipped. It felt like a "home from home" but it was nice enough to feel special. Rachael had put the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
North Wheddon Farm is an ideal base to access the Exmoor and Devon area with it's fantastic beaches and stunning scenery just minutes way. We offer superb bed and breakfast accommodation within the farmhouse. In the grounds of the farm we have two self-catering properties, the Farthingwood Barn and the Eden Lodge. Here at North Wheddon we love to cook and are proud of our reputation. Food is very much 'River Cottage' style. If we can not grow it or raise it here on the farm, you can be sure it is locally sourced and the very best of quality. From home smoked bacon to our own Aga baked breads you won't go hungry. ... more   less
