Stayed here for 1 night while on a trip with National holidays. Our room was on the ground floor facing the mini golf course and the motorway which was shielded by a row of trees. The room was triple glazed and we could not hear the traffic. Food was better than I have had on holidays with 'National' before but...

Staff generally very pleasant and helpful, room could do with up-dating although everything needed was there. Bar meal not great, waited ages for soup and a chicken and bacon salad, chicken was dry, bacon was hard and chewy, salad only dressed with olive oil. Asked about currency exchange and we were told this service was not available, despite being shown...

Late check-in after a long drive from London. Speedy check-in by the night porter who was very pleasant. The room was tired and dated. The bed has probably not been replaced in quite sometime, it was lumpy and quite uncomfortable. The walls are wafer thin as the person next door sounded like a freight train as they snored away (not...

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to write and for posting your review I will indeed investigate the points you have raised, we have had several bedrooms refurbished over the last year which is continuing. The new executives have all had new beds along with a good number of standard bedrooms. I will try and locate the offending...

Stayed here for 4 nights with Crusader Coach Holidays for their Pennine Explorer trip. Check in very smooth and staff throughout very friendly and helpful Nice clean hotel with really comfortable beds. Food could have had more choice - particularly for vegetarians. Would definitely recommend this as great touring base.

Myself and my husband had an enforced three day hotel stay when our local water board messed up our supply. We stayed in an executive room, and each day we didn't know if we would need to book in again. The staff were brilliant, even holding our room till one in the afternoon for us until we knew how the...

Great characterful hotel. Spacious, clean and warm. Easy to find and close to the motorway. I did find that the bed was a bit lumpy and lacked support. As a result, I did wake up with back pains, so not a refreshing nights sleep.

We attended a wedding here. The thing that made our stay special here was the friendly staff & our spacious room! We stayed in an executive room. It was nice to have the extra space with a baby. The hotel has lots of character, but does need updating in places. Our window had a draught & wasn't completely sealed. We...

We stayed with a 3 month old baby after a wedding on site. The premium rooms were on the 3rd floor, with a baby this is a long way to walk as there are no lifts! Certainly didn't feel executive! Rooms were spacious but felt tired and could use some attention. The food for the wedding was ok, couldn't comment...

We celebrated our Golden Wedding with 61 guests on the 2nd of April 2016. We needed to book well in advance because of the popularity of this hotel.
