Stayed here on a whim. Wanted to get away for the night somewhere nice but didn't want to spend a fortune. It's great little hotel. You feel like you're miles away from anywhere but actually Halifax and Huddersfield are only a short drive away. Our room was lovely, and with a modern bathroom. The bed was a small double but...

We needed a break away and decided on Pennine manor as a treat and as it wasn't far from our son at university. The weather was dreadful and the hotel is quite exposed on top of a hill, but we received a very warm welcome from Lucy and check in was a breeze. Dinner in the bar was very tasty,...

Booked in to the Pennine Manor as my son was getting married locally and from the minute we walked through the door, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. We stayed for 2 nights, taking advantage of the bar and restaurant on the first day I sampled a few pints of Guinness with it being St Patrick's day. Nicholas was...

My aunt Carol told me about this place and she said it was brilliant. I couldn't believe the breath taking views on a night and the very good looking staff that looked after us. Reece and Declan went above and beyond to make sure we have had a fantastic night and i'll tell you what, they succeeded. Reece squeezed out...

Out on the moors of Cleck-Hudders-Fax this hotel first looks like it could be the setting of a Yorkshire remake of The Shining. Stood alone on the moortop surrounded wondrous views it certainly should be popular with ramblers. However you don't go that high without getting cold! The hotel is a haven from the wind with a lovely warm bar...

I have been staying at this hotel for several years now about once or sometimes more each month. It's location makes it ideal for anyone wanting a peaceful night and the food is always top notch as are the ever so friendly staff. I cannot praise this hotel highly enough and would thoroughly recommend it.

Staff are amazing, lovely room, stunning views, food a bit disappointing, but an excellent stay. A number of family members stayed as we had a funeral, which the hotel catered for very well. I'd say own transport is essential as you're a bit off the beaten track, although Huddersfield, the nearest city is very near.
