My wife and I stayed for one night on a Groupon deal. The hotel was a nice hotel with good friendly and efficient staff. Some of the decor looks a bit tired in the hallways etc, but overall it was a very good experience and I would definitely go again. The food was good and the staff were very hard...

Good hotel with quality rooms which are very clean. Friendly staff, Although the breakfast waiter was very harassed and let us know it! Breakfast was very good (I'm told by my husband). Hotel very central with good views of the sea and a super Italian Restaurant next door

My partner and I went there for the Easter weekend. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location; very close to the Lower Leas Coastal Park, as well as 10 min away from the center. You can clearly see that this is an old building, but very well maintain. Rooms are good size and very clean. Staff is very...

Not wonderful toiletries but adequate and good hospitality tray and fro wifi in bedrooms as well as public areas. We had an excellent dinner, well presented with tender...

Let’s not beat about the bush – you can’t better the hotel’s location, right by the sea front, and the period building (a former 1860’s Victorian town house) will definitely appeal to those wanting ‘quaint’ or ‘old fashioned’ (the Americans will certainly love it). But, I feel there are a few modern touches required to give the place wider appeal....

For a last minute booking, stayed in a Superior room. Very happy with room. Large, plenty of storage and surface space. King size bed, Comfy chair and sofa in bay window with sea views. I sensed very recently renovated and that older rooms to rear of hotel were not of same quality. Bathroom good but older. Reception unsmiling, old keys...

The hotel is in a wonderful location on the Leas with wonderful views of the sea and private gardens to the side, with the town just a saunter down the esplanade and beaches and walks on your doorstep. The hotel itself is a little 'tired' as they say, in real need of bit of TLC and bringing up to date....
