We spent 2 nights in this hotel a few weeks ago. Hotel has seen better days, but although it looks a bit drab the room & en suite were spotless. The room looked straight across from the pier & the view was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. During our stay the weather was...

We stayed at the Royal Marine Hotel for 4 nights for the Cowal games. The hotel owner and staff are so helpful and friendly and go out of their way to please you. The hotel is in the process of being refurbished the rooms were lovely and clean. It will take time to be restored but you are allocated in...

Hotel a bit tired (work in progress) but staff and food more than made up for it.The room was really nice and overlooked the loch. The food was excellent, both for dinner and breakfast. The hotel is straight across the road from the car ferry and short drive into Dunoon itself. i will visit this hotel again.

If you're a fan a Fawlty Towers this is hotel for you. We had a sea view room which although the furnishing was dated is was clean. The breakfast was delicious and staff could not do enough for us. The event was a wedding and despite the ageing condition of the furnishing the reception hall was immaculate and the staff...

The staff were brilliant and made the day special for the couple. The hotel itself is a little tired in places but there is an option going refurbishment program. Really enjoyed the wedding and our overnight stay with a Scottish breakfast that was OK.

this was a lovely large hotel, beautiful building that would be done proud by some internal refurbishments and brought up to date. Our room was spacious and clean but again lacked style and tasteful decoration. The bed was large and comfortable, dated bathroom suite but it did the job. Certainly nothing to complain about of our stay. friendly staff and...

Firstly, the hotel should be honest on their website and mention that hotel is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties, it has three flights of steep stairs, no lift and no ground floor rooms. on arrival we were allocated a room on the 2nd floor, despite having contacted them requesting a low room. The receptionist was very apologetic and...

When we first approached the Dunoon ferry port we were greeted by the sight of this big beautiful old building 😲 That is the Royal Marine Hotel. I had read the reviews prior so I was very sceptical(or forwarned)when we walked in. Yes, it is very tired looking and in much need of TLC, but it does look like they...
