While on tour in Scotland, our group stayed at this hotel (who complimented us on being such a fun group) which is located along the River Tay outside of this exquisite little village called Dunkeld. Nice 20 minute walk along the river into the town where there are lots of shops, lovely people, an old cathedral under restoration, and restaurants....

Popped in for lunch here on the 5th July 2014, purely as they advertised that dogs were welcome. We were travelling through Dunkeld with our 2 pooches and found it hard in previous towns to take them in anywhere - but not here. We were escorted to the beer garden and the staff even went and got our dogs a...

The Royal Dunkeld is very much a 3 star hotel but a good 3-star. The building is a little tired and, as is often the case with older buildings that have had to be upgraded over the years to provide en-suite facilities etc, the rooms and bathrooms are a bit on the small side. Setting that aside, it is ideally...

We enjoyed a lovely over night stay in this hotel. Right from the start we were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed the banter on arrival at reception The room was very clean and warm. I had the best sleep in ages. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the hotel itself was quiet even though the hotel...

The food is well priced and very nice the restaurant is lovely and the hotel bit looks nice so may opt to stay there in the future. The location is...

Stopped here for lunch - turned up just as they were closing. Menu varied and interesting - I had goats cheese & black pudding salad with raspberry vinaigrette - delicious. Prices good - surroundings clean and inviting.

I stayed for three nights in the Royal Dunkeld Hotel as part of the Millbrook and Knebworth golf party and was very impressed by the facilities, the great attitude and friendliness of the staff, by the great location, and by the quality of the food and service. We were fortunate to have some excellent spring weather, so sitting in the...

Had a lovely stay here for three nights. Checking in was quick and smooth. The room was comfortable especially the bed. We had a lovely view over the car park but could see the hills. The bar was very friendly and the staff very helpful. There was a outside beer garden which we made good use of. Lots of choice...
