We stopped for one night at this comfortable hotel on our way North to the Highlands and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of service offered by this hotel. The new owners have made big improvements and our recently modernised room was very comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style and the evening meal good value. Staff were all pleasant and helpful....

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Just back from a short break to Dunkeld House Hotel. This was our fourth stay and our room was the best one yet. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment but we knew this before we went. The refurbishment did not affect our stay in any way, we even had the privilege of eating in the conservatory on its first day of...

It's always nice to take visitors to a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting, even if it's only for sandwiches and coffee. It's not very nice when you have to apologise to your friends for the quality of what should be a very simple lunch. I'll describe mine. From the menu of sandwiches at £7.50 a time, I ordered ham...

Stayed here for 2 nights last week on a groupon deal and it was really good. Hotel is in a great location right on the banks of the Tay. Takes about 20 to 30 mins walk by the river to the village which had plenty places to eat and drink. Breakfast was not great but adequate. Buffet style with some...

I've always had a soft spot for this hotel. The setting is so peaceful and relaxing. First trip back since it's had a bit of a face lift. Love the new conservatory, had breakfast and dinner there with views looking on to the river Tay. Fantastic! Rooms have been given a make over, very nice and the food has improved...

Have stayed often at this country retreat and it has recently been beautifully refurbished. The decor is very tasteful and in keeping with the historic building but given a modern twist. Wall paper and curtains are splendid with tartan style carpets throughout. An extensions to the dining room ,The Riverside, restaurant offers a bright and airy space with fabulous views over...

As it was my wife's birthday I had booked a suite in advance. I had contacted the hotel for details and then phoned and there was a choice between the Duke and Duchess suites. Kasia recommended the Duchess ( room 136) as it was at the front of the hotel with an excellent view over the Tay. She informed me...

This is possibly the worst food I and my family have ever had. The prawn cocktail was so fishy smelling it was obviously old. The beef wellington was seriously overcooked and like 5 hour stewed meat had cheap gravy with it. The crepe Suzette was rubbery and cold. Such a shame as we were excited to go for a birthday...
