Dunkeld was our first stop after an overnight flight into Edinburgh. Upper Hatton is a charming old house with delightful views of farmland and woodlands. It is quiet and peaceful with the only sounds being those of birds and peacocks. We had a very comfortable bedroom with en suite bathroom. Margory cooked us an excellent breakfast served in her homely...

Marjory is a friendly and warm hostess, and a very good cook. Breakfasts were wonderful, including porridge and well-cooked eggs. Lots of fresh fruit. Highlights included hand feeding a peacock named Humphrey. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a lovely stay at Upper Hatton. The rooms were comfortable and clean and we were given a very warm welcome. Breakfast was wonderful and freshly cooked in front of us. The best thing about it is the beautiful setting on the hillside with fantastic views. We would highly recommend staying here and wish we could have stayed longer!

We enjoyed a comfortable night here on our way up north. Accessed from a forest track Upper Hatton nestles in the wooded hillside with great views across the meadows below. Our hosts were very welcoming and lit the fire in the guest lounge for us. Complimentary drinks were were available in our downstairs room and Humphrey the resident peacock kept...

So glad to have experienced a stay at Upper Hatton after reading rave reviews on Trip Advisor. Marjorie was the consummate hostess, knowledgeable, welcoming and the last word in hospitality. Supremely peaceful, natural surroundings on the Blair Atholl Estate, about 1.5 miles off the public highway up a rough track. Lovely thoughtful touches made a stay at Upper Hatton really...

We stayed for four nights during May in the four poster room for our sixth stay (I think) over five years. The welcome by Margory was as usual extremely warm and the welcome by the peacocks (including Humphrey), as usual noisy but friendly, he loves the peanuts. The breakfasts as usual include local produce beautifully prepared in front of you...

We spent one night here before flying early from the Edinburgh Airport. Marjory, who was a cheery and welcoming host, was very flexible about our late arrival and early departure-- she gave us an outstanding breakfast earlier than her usual schedule to assure our timely arrival for our flight. Our room featured a delicious four-poster bed with crisp cotton sheets...

It is almost impossible to express in words what a beautiful setting this place sits in. You cannot help but feel relaxed when surrounded by the forest and the only noise is the wonderful peacocks calling to each other. Marjory keeps a wonderful home, and as a guest there you really are made to feel at home. Picture the roaring...

Tucked into the hills above Dunkeld, Upper Hatton made a delightful stop and place to rest after our transoceanic flight into Edinburgh. In an attractive home, we found large bedrooms, a nice sitting room, a warm and friendly hostess, and an excellent breakfast. The grounds are beautiful and the views are lovely, although the peacocks can be a bit noisy....

There's quirky and then there's Marjorie - what an incredible woman. She had totally forgotten we were coming but she quickly stopped strimming her enormous grounds to attend to our needs. This was the only place which had a reasonably sized bath which was lovely. I don't 'do' dogs but Molly and Hattie were utterly adorable and the peacocks were...
