Thanks for your review we're only sorry that you felt your stay wasn't better than average. The week you were here unfortunately our boiler had broken down and so if you noticed we had electric heaters in the rooms to keep them warm. I'm sorry that your friends felt that they didn't suffice, the problem is now fixed as we...

When we arrived the lady who let us in was quite rude. Our room had no heating on when we arrived so turned radiator on in bedroom hoping that by the time we got back from races the room would be warm. It was still only lukewarm when we returned and by the time we arrived back later on all...

Stayed 1 night whilst visiting family. The room was lovely modern and clean, breakfast was included and was delicious and could have a full cooked breakfast and cereals and toast and tea and coffee. The owner was really nice and we would stay again

There was some confusion when we booked (Probably due to us!) as there were 3 of us and only a twin room with 2 single beds available for the weekend before Christmas. So on arrival Jane was surprised but nevertheless put herself out to add a temporary third bed to the room and make us feel comfortable and welcome and...

I have stayed at the First Hurdle Guesthouse several times, and each time I am greeted with such warmth and attention! The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the beds are very comfortable. There are a variety of options for breakfast and the morning atmosphere is easygoing. Scott is a wealth of knowledge and can tell you virtually anything about Chepstow...

Myself and my partner stayed for one night this weekend to visit family who live nearby. Our room was booked for us by my brother in law and when we were told we would be staying in a 'guesthouse' we were extremely hesitant as we would usually opt for a larger premier inn type place for a short stay but...

The owners were very friendly and it was set in a good location. The free breakfast had a good range of food to choose from. Unfortunately we have awarded it two stars as we found the price to be too steep for the quality of room and area. £75 for a small double is far too expensive! £50 would be...

Was lucky enough to be upgraded to the top attic room which was huge for a guest house room. Had to be the prettiest room I've ever stayed in. Amazing. Would definitely use every time I come to Chepstow now as right in the heart of the town and straight across the road from the car park too.

We needed a base in Chepstow for a group bike ride, supporting friends riding from Lands End to John o Groats. The First Hurdle seemed to fit the bill and boy did it deliver.
