Hotel and staff excellent but please do not go on a Saturday night as it becomes noisey and unbearable the hotel is centrally located with a car park a stone's throw away so very convienient for all the local sights.

Having recently moved to the area decided to give this a try as we'd never been in on previous visits to Chepstow. Suffice to say we won't be going again. The staff were atrocious and the food not much better.

My husband and I finally tried out a Sunday roast together at the George last month when the Italy vs Wales Six Nations game was on. Having tried several roast dinners in local eateries of late, we feel that this is one of the most enjoyable and is certainly excellent value for money. Beautifully cooked meat, a great selection of...

Unfortunately this was the only place showing the football so we had to visit.. i wish we hadn't bothered. They had lost the key to the room where they needed to turn the TV channel over, so initially they couldnt put the football on?? After that was sorted, we decided to try the food as we were all pretty hungry....

Me and my girlfriend visited Wed (Feb 15th) at lunchtime and we had a great meal. Both had fudge cake for dessert...

Oh my goodness, that was amazing. Recently we've been disappointed with pubs in Chepstow and their roasts but not today. Today I ate more than I thought possible because I was NOT leaving anything. I want to eat here every week but my husband says he'll miss my roasts. An absolute winner !

We stayed here while in the Chepstow area for 3 days. Rooms were good other than personal preferences (beds a bit soft for my liking) and the morning English breakfast just made things easy. The bar is lively in the evening and the staff are great. My largest thumbs up for this place is for their staff who were always...
