In any case the painting had been done very badly and nothing looked finished. They should have given themselves more time for quality checks. Anyway they did...

Just spent two nights at The Palace. Before we even got there I had tremendous difficulty communicating with the hotel reception to reserve dinner. No one answers the phone when you ring reception. Upon checking in I found they had only booked us in for one night when I had requested and paid for two nights. The room was spacious...

Before i left home i emailed the hotel asking if they could advise on any beauty treatments for my wife. I had an automated acknowledgment ,either there was no one in or they couldn't bother replying. I refuse to ring the hotel chain at 13p per minute, not good. On arrival polite and professional receptionist and we went to our...

We were initially allocated a room without windows, the room was very compact, no toiletries in the bathroom, no remote for tv, kettle was not working properly. We only stayed there for one night and got moved. The other room was much bigger with a nice view over Buxton but very old and dated. Note that not all rooms are...

We visited yesterday for one night. Unfortunately the weather was awful but the deal at the hotel made up for it. The hotel could do with some TLC in places but our room was warm and comfortable (3rd floor). There appeared to be only one lift which could cause a problem when it is really busy. The dinner was a...
