We booked Griff House after checking out reviews and they were not wrong. This is a marvellous B &. B and the service from Martin was exceptional. Our room (number 1) was roomy, immaculate and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was tasty. Would recommend omend this place to any traveller

We booked at Griff House having seen the TA reviews, for a 2 night stay in May. Martin was an extremely good and attentive host, and our room had thoughtful touches such as a fridge so we could buy some cheese at Hartington and keep it fresh until we went home! Breakfast was delicious. The house is tastefully refurbished and...

We had a wonderful stay with Martin. The location is great . Easy walk into Buxton and all it has to offer . Breakfast was wonderful . They make the best gluten free granola , so if you are wheat intolerant just let them know when you make your reservation . The guest lounge was comfortable with books to help...

A fantastically well equipped, spacious room and ensuite, incredibly well maintained property, spotlessly clean and brilliantly located. The welcome was great and the breakfast was too, couldn't have asked for better, thanks.

We enjoyed a 2 night stay here in this great b & b. A ten minute walk to the centre of Buxton with a small car park and plenty of free street parking. An immaculately kept house with well catered for rooms having the added bonus of a good sized fridge. A beautifully cooked breakfast with a simple, but filling...

Great location, great host, great breakfast! Arrived quite late Friday night but greeted by Martin with warm smile. Walked to Cheshire cheese for craft beer and mulled wine. Pottered around local shops and took tram for tour of Buxton Saturday Lovely meal at nearby Greek restaurant Saturday, followed by Green Man Gallery event. Brill breakfast then bikes along Monsall Trail

We really appreciated the mini fridge with fresh milk for tea, thank you, made al the difference. We also made good use of the very comfortable guest lounge with everything we could need. Packed lunches made up for us for a day's walking equalled the superb breakfasts that everyone has mentioned - fresh, local ingredients and very generous portions.

My partner and I felt really welcome, right from the beginning of our stay. Our host showed us around and provided all necessary information for a comfortable stay in his well cared for house. He offered helpful suggestions - from good dining to splendid walks through the surrounding countryside - including maps. The breakfast was outstanding, the delicious homemade granola,...

We stayed 5 nights arriving 15th March. We received a warm welcome from Martin who took our large suitcase up to our room. The room was quite large, the king size bed extremely comfortable. There was a small and completely silent refrigerator in the room where thoughtfully a jug of fresh milk was made available. A huge improvement in the...
