Stayed here on a business trip. It was a bit tired/dated but did the job for a business trip, would be a good base for exploring the area. In a lovely area. Breakfast was nice and the room was ok. Would stay again if I'm back in the area.

Whole place very dated like an old peoples home. Overpriced as not a hotel, just a B&B and a very tired one at that. Overpowering smell of disinfectant and germalene in stairway which has no ventilation, smell pervaded into room even with door shut, had to block with towels to try to reduce smell. Dodgy soft porn pictures on wall....

This is a Guest House and not a Hotel. The car park is very small and narrow with few spaces and you can get locked in quite easily. The location is ideal. There is a musty smell when you enter the 'hotel' and it is 'dated'. We received a warm welcome from the owner who took our money and told...

Stayed here as part of a hiking trip in the peaks. The rooms were warm and clean. The staff were friendly and the cost was very reasonable. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay - fresh cooked full English with juice and cereal on the side. The honesty bar is also a very nice touch. It's fine for the...

We stopped at The Westminster for just one night, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room (04) was very quiet with a lovely view overlooking the park, it was very comfortable with a nice bathroom. The breakfast was plentiful and very well cooked. When we visit Buxton again we will definitely consider stopping at The Westminster again.

We only stayed for one night passing through. Situated close to the town centre and overlooking a lovely park. Good parking, received a warm welcome and the room was very clean and very comfortable, with tea/coffee making facilities the en-suite was very nice too. We had a good nights sleep and there was lots of choice at breakfast. We had...

This is definitely a guest house, not a 4* hotel. Our double room, overlooking the fire escape, was adequate. Very small TV and tiny travel kettle with a few tea/coffee sachets (no biscuits!). Rather compact shower room. Nice little guest lounge with an honesty bar, although I felt the need to whisper to my husband so I didn't disturb the...

Looked last minute for a cheap place to stay in Buxton and was not disappointed, even though we arrived early Nick was happy to show us to our room. The room was clean and warm and very inviting for an afternoon nap. After exploring the town we found the hotel was within stumbling distance as we called it a night...

This was for a two night stay. Very economical, great breakfast. They have a small bar area within the lounge which you pay for on leaving. Drinks are reasonable priced. Within 7 minute walk of the main town centre attractions. many pubs and restaurants to choose from. Some better than others. In the heart of the Peak district a great...

Stayed here with work, very good room and breakfast. More like a B&B than hotel, bit dated but comfortable. Very friendly people and good choice breakfast. Lovely location although an evening meal menu would have been great.
