The proprietor and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was well arranged and provided with all that we could need or want. I appreciated that there was a wide breakfast choice, not just the standard english breakfast, myself choosing the eggs florentine. It happened to be our wedding anniversary and Alison kindly gave us a room upgrade without...

We stayed here for a wedding over the weekend and were amazed with the high standards! Breakfast was a wonderful array of freshly made preserves and coffees with a choice of hot options...the room was lovely and warm. Five stars! Will definitely be returning!

I hate to complain about this beautiful period B & B and our wonderful hosts but I must. Wifi is an essential component when we travel from the USA. It is the only way we are able to communicate with our family back home. As we plan our trips, Wifi is a non-negotiable feature. This place said they have it...

What a gem of a B&B, from the first phone call to book, until the time we left 3 days later, things could'nt have been better. We were recomended room 2, by Vicky the owners daughter, how right she was. A fantastic room over looking the pavillion gardens, and the opera house. The breakfasts were the best we have had...

This B&B is an absolute treasure of a find. We had a lovely room overlooking the park. Everywhere was spotless. Wonderful breakfast and joy of joys for me proper vegetarian sausages. I usually get a vegetable mess made in to a sausage shape. Add to this a warm welcome. What more can you want.

We chose to stay here as we were watching Alan Carr at the Buxton Opera House. This is the ideal location to stay if you are going to be watching a show, as it is less than a minutes walk away. Parking was free, which was excellent as we presumed we would have to pay. The building overlooks the gardens,...

A really central hotel hence parking is on-street (but a card provided by the hotel gives free parking to guests). An older building but full of charm, with real sash windows (yet warm rooms) and nice high ceilings! The staff (a family) couldn't do more and the breakfast is first class. Rooms are just about spotless.
