Very welcoming hosts, lovely cosy room with big comfortable bed and delicious breakfasts! Very convenient to walk to local pubs and restaurants and easy parking. Good walks nearby and loads within a short drive away.

Overnight stay to see Christie Moore at the Opera House. Nice location and a steady walk to the market place. Welcoming hosts who made you feel right at home. Decent sized room and lovely comfy bed. Everything you needed provided. Good standard of cleanliness & excellent breakfast.

Richly deserving its many accolades, our only disappointment was that we could only stay one night. Greeted as we arrived with adequate but not overbearing friendliness, handed a map of Buxton and offered advice regarding eateries should we wish. Pleasant, airy and immaculate room with HUGE bed (perfect had we had a row (which we didn't)). Great shower, toiletries and...

We received a very warm welcome form Elizabeth and Tim, who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable (especially the bed) with tea & coffee making facilities, including fresh milk and a cafetiere to make fresh coffee. Breakfast was delicious, with an impressive choice of locally sourced food and homemade jams. Location was just a...

This B and B is located in a residential area with tree-lined streets. It is within easy walking distance to the Crescent, Opera House and other areas of interest. The room although not huge had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. On arrival we were made to feel welcome by Elizabeth who suggested some things to do in...

I booked this hotel to stay in for a business trip. I was late arriving and was accommodated well. The landlady was there to greet me when i finally arrived. She showed me to my room and provided me with a map of the local area, suggesting some local restaurants to eat at. The hotel isn't far from the centre...

Stayed here on 19/9/15 as we were going to see a show at The Opera House. Roughy 20 minute walk to the theatre. We had the twin room which over looked the pretty garden. Friendly hosts & gave us a map so we could find our way into the centre. Bonus of giving us a fresh jug of milk for...

We returned to The Old Manse in Buxton for a 2 night stay after our enjoyable experience in February. We had a different room on the first floor at the front of the property which was just as well appointed as the previous one we had on the top floor at the back. Elizabeth was a great host as expected...

A scrupulously clean and tidy, traditional B & B. Very pleasant landlady who happily imparted her knowledge of Buxton and the local area. Very comfortable bed and excellent english breakfast. Would be very pleased to stay again.

We stayed here for three nights. The Guest House is in a good position for getting to the town, the accommodation clean and comfortable with everything that you will require, the choice of menu offered for breakfast was excellent. Would be happy to recommend The Old Manse that is run by friendly and helpful owners to anyone.
