Let's just begin with the positive: We had a nice room with nice decor. We had a good breakfast. The landlady and breakfast staff were very helpful. There's a very extensive folder of recommendations in the room which will help visitors to the area. Of course at 79 GBP a night you tend to expect that. And I think it's...

Thankyou for your well intentioned but perhaps a little misleading review. The positives you mention here are all of course good news and encompass nearly everything a decent B&B should have in place anyway at all times. Thankyou. Whats left ? . Oh yes the attempted character assasination of the Landlord?? The party were welcomed into the property of course...

A lovely B and B with much attention to detail. Roger and Maria are charming and helpful hosts and nothing was too much trouble The breakfast was attractively laid out and with much choice and even my non dairy diet was catered for. The room was delightful. I would have absolutely no doubt about staying with them again and would...

From the entrance hall, up the stairs and into the bedroom, very attractively and artistically presented. Comfortable bedroom in a quiet street. I booked late and could only get a room with a separate bathroom - it was for my personal use and so not a problem. In the bedroom was a wash basin. Only a short walk into town....

Happily we have just spent 3 days break at this guesthouse and will certainly be returning again hopefully in the near future. In fact this must be one of the nicest B&B,s we have stayed in around the buxton area for some time. Great food (and plenty of it!), also a good selection of cold buffet choices, fruit, muesli, cereals,...

Braemar -A lovely Victorian property. The B&B was located in a quiet neigbourhood of Buxton. The stay was very comfortable. The rooms very spacious with en suite bathrooms , immaculately done up with traditional Victorian decor. Located 2 mins walking distance from the town centre & Pavilion gardens in the most serene neighbourhood. Thank you Roger & Anjie for making our...

I have stayed in Braemar before and once again very much enjoyed the experience. The owners are lovely and welcoming, and always offer information about the surrounding area. The bedrooms are beautiful, with en suite bathrooms and comfortable beds. A variety of breakfast options, which are all delicious, and you will be greeted by friendly staff every morning. Would definitely...

The place is fine, clean and the breakfast is great - but, they insist the latest you can have breakfast is 9am - we are on holiday! And - you had to be out your room by 10.15 every day even though we were staying 2 nights - surely they don't clean the rooms all at the same time? Also...

Yes, thankyou Mr P.A, for your kind words and the complementary positive points you have expressed and we were very pleased to hear that you were on `Holiday` ( none of our other guests were on `Holiday`, only you ! ). I visited with three friends for a girls weekend in Buxton. We were met by who I think was the owner she showed us to our rooms but didn't make us feel particularly at home (which is what I hope for at a B&B). As soon as we arrived we were expected to make breakfast choices which felt rushed. The...
