Stayed there frequently over 18 months. Really well managed, really great staff, really miss it! Tell them what's important to you when you check in and you'll probably get it. Great breakfast, some interesting characters - sorry! - and a lovely place. Hope things takes me back there soon.

Great hotel with very courteous staff. This old place, considered on of the most haunted in all of the UK, if you believe in all that sort of thing (smile), usually has paranormal investigators staying there...but it's all good with no kooky behavior or anything bothersome. The food was very nice in the restaurant. My room was considered a queen...

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I am really disappointed to read your comments about the apparent lack of service. Celebrated NYE with a Murder Mystery, an enjoyable evening, nicely acted out, the clues given during the evening did not point us towards the murderer unfortunately, however it did resolve into pleasant evening. This was followed by a 'disco'. The dance floor was inadequate for the number of guests resulting in a lot of squashing. The meal was of a...

Beautiful hotel with a typical English charm, old but refurbished building, English garden. Rooms are not at the standard of such hotel category, the same for the cookery that is really basic. Welcome and service very good.

This was a part business and part family trip. Stayed overnight here and had a conference the following day. Although it looked like a good area, we arrived late and there seemed to be a brawl going on outside the hotel, involving groups of youths. There was much shouting, threats, swearing and cars being sped up and down the road....
