The positives - our room (no 1) was clean and a good size (4 poster bed). Hair dryer, iron, kettle etc all there. The staff were friendly and as helpful as possible. The less positives - breakfast was ordinary. Who knew a hard poached egg was a real thing in eggs benedict? At an adjacent table a chap requested more...

Stayed here for one night to visit friends. It is a budget hotel chain attached to a really nice a welcoming pub and restaurant. The food is brilliant. Home made classic pizza in the garden made by a real italian! Management team are a riot and look after you like family. Nothing is too much trouble. Will drop in again.

Although this place advertises parking, please be aware that this is extremely limited & you will be directed to an unattended, isolated public car park a good 10minute walk away. This was not acceptable as my sister in law is disabled, so it was suggested that we park in the doctors surgery car park but this would mean moving the...

My wife and I stayed here one night en-route from the Midlands to Cornwall in April 2017. It is in downtown Yeovil and a simple walk to all town addresses. Accommodation is just about acceptable. Rooms are getting close to being ready for a deep clean and refurb, but the beds and towels were clean. Our TV controller (room 26)...

Room was basic, no heating even after complaining.I had to bend over to shower as ceiling was sloped and with no shower door water went all over floor , that was why the floor had collapsed under lino. Beer was off on two pumps. Didn't dare have breakfast so went to greggs!

I read the reviews on here and was dubious about coming. I need not be. 7 of us went on our work night out and the food was top class! I can not recommend it highly enough. The chef and his assistant even came out to talk to us after, such a lovely touch!

This place has nothing but complaints on a daily basis. No towels rooms not cleaned on time, no toilet paper, so on. As its a low cost budget hotel, it is mainly occupied by contractors. The pub itself is dingy, with 3small portable heaters. The assistant manager Sarah lacks customer care skills, which is noted by customers. There are other...

Hi Steve, This is our second response after the first review you wrote was was removed! First of all for anyone reading this review, this isn't Steve's own experience, he has NEVER stayed in the hotel, nor eaten in the restaurant. He comes in for happy hour drinks. So this review is completely pointless because he is misleading any potential...

Shocking disappointment. Nothing like the Internet representation. The rooms are completely basic that we were shown on arrival. Truly overpriced and not a joyful place to take a family. We ordered lunch and that too was not 'honest' food. The photo says it all really. The staff were cheery and sweet but the food and accommodation were so far off...

Dear Grace H, We are sorry to hear your thoughts on Globe & Crown, and it is unfortunate that we are finding out your disappointment online. If mentioned whilst with us the duty manager would have offered you a bigger spaced family room if you found that the one you were shown was too small. Our food is homemade and...
