The room might not be like a room from the Ritz but for the average hotel price I wasn't expected it to be amazing. However, for the price of 37 pounds for the night, it was a bloody brilliant room! Excellent size, very clean and tidy, nice furniture, very comfortable bed and mattress, clean and fresh smelling bedding. A very... More

I stayed here the other day and despite being warned about it found it rather good! It's basic but that's not a problem given its location right in the centre of town surrounded by places to eat and enjoy yourself. Granted the room was small but it was cheap and offered excellent value for money. The room had all the... More

A smashing establishment, designed for anyone looking for a place to lay their head. Immaculate throughout. Some elements resemble the usual 'lodge' feel, but you also get a hospitality tray in the room that feature the usual things, but when we stayed, there were two (very welcome) bottles of water, biscuits to dunk into the tea and even lovely juicy... Excellent value for money, this hotel has the lot. Some hotels charge you a fortune and provide dinner and breakfast. This hotel didn't offer any meals and, even so, the price was so cheap that I feared the worst. My mind was put at rest as soon as I entered. Spotlessly clean, wonderfully friendly staff and a beautiful big soft... More

Staff very friendly and helpful. Had a double room small but travelling alone so ok. Booked a double room as same price as a single . Room clean and basic. No breakfast available but places to eat near by. Would stay here again.

On arrival at the city lodge we found the steps a little difficult whilst encumbered with lots of luggage but the welcome once inside was warm and effeicent. Our room was as requested, on the ground floor, it was reasonably clean and had everything you might need from biscuits to a hairdryer. Also, we had good free wi fi. The... More

Public parking opposite at the Cinema/Gym complex (free after 18:00) make for easy access. No lift, but only 3 floors. Rooms are variable (I've stayed here a lot over the past few months). Room 301 is the best, although it is at the top of the stairs. It's a corner room with windows all around and views of the hamsters... More

Room very clean everything you need very pleasant for a budget hotel in the heart of the city parking across the road which is free if you eat at one of the restaurants and get your ticket validated. All of the staff had a smile and friendly word.. Excellent! I would definately choose to stay here again.

Well I know we chose a budget hotel but I thought they might try and make the room a bit more inviting cobwebs hanging from ceiling, dirty old curtains, dirty stained old chair, stained carpet ,mould around shower and room so dingy, could not open windows because we where next to a footpath and a smelly old Indian restaurant extractor...
