Detailed Reviews
We stayed 2 nights in Brewhouse and Kitchen but felt disappointed with the room and meal we had one night. The room itself was very pleasant but we could write our name in the dust which was a surprise as they suppose to have enhanced COVID cleaning.
The bedroom is accessed using a code they email you unfortunately, the code they sent us was wrong. After making several attempts to open it the staff sorted it out when they realised the code was wrong. After that was sorted we still had to get the staff several times over the two days to open our door or lock it when we went out as it still wasn’t working. We were informed the door had been a problem for a while but hasn’t been fixed.
We had a meal in the first night around 8:00pm and my wife ordered a roast. Surprisingly the roast was served up 2 minutes later. It was disgusting and clearly had just been heated up in the microwave from being cooked earlier that day.
On the positive side, the staff were pleasant and the beer good. Maybe our expectations were too high but I think it’s not too much to expect the room door to lock so someone and their possessions can be safe and secure, their room is cleaned and they don’t serve up a really poor meal which was inedible.
We really looked forward to B&K accommodation as they generally have great pubs, good food and the option of accommodation is great in principle but it isn’t quite there yet and hope it improves.

Fantastic Experience, the rooms look fantastic and love the little details of a complimentary beer in my room after I had a long day on the road which was brewed on site. Lovely. Recommend to anyone down Worthing way. Also the brewpub itself was something I will be visiting more and more in my local area as the beers they brew as fantastic and a real unique experience to the normal British pub

An attractive building set in pleasant grounds. The pub and rooms are decorated and furninshed in an interesting 'industrial chic' style. It's a busy pub, so some noise does penitrate to the rooms, but not too much.
The menu is a bit limited for vegetarians, and the food is good but nothing special. A big bonus is the selection of excellent beers brewed on site. The complementary bottle on arrival is a nice touch.
Serge and his staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient.
Worthing itself has little to recommend it but if you need to stay there, the location is close to the centre, parking is free and there are frequent buses past the gate. An fun and convenient place to stay, and good value.

The situation of this pub with rooms is good - a quiet residential area a short walk to the high street and beach.
However, we had visited last year and it doesn’t appear to have been refreshed at all in the meantime. So although the decor is quirky it is looking tired in places.
The room was small and had the fans from the kitchen on the flat roof outside the window so was noisy and hot.
The decor was good and the bathroom nice, but there’s no wardrobe, just a rail. And we wanted to sleep and couldn’t - the mattress was appalling! My partner and I like different mattresses and both agreed it was dire, so it wasn’t down to personal preference. It was lumpy, there was no structure, and springs pinged when one of us moved.
Breakfast is part buffet but not a buffet I’ve seen other than in a small B&B. A couple of cereals and yoghurts and a plate of croissants that were there early on but had gone by half way through service and never replenished. There was a filter coffee machine but no water for tea, so staff were kept too busy getting teas to do anything else.
We both ordered the standard cooked breakfast and it took about 25 minutes to arrive - there were only 4 other people there when we ordered!
When I checked out I complained about the mattress and the fact we hadn’t slept so we’re going to have to change our plans for the day and was just told that all the mattresses are the same and people like them!
I kept being bombarded with emails to leave reviews, so did so, and contacted their customer services to complain, but it’s been over 2 weeks and I haven’t received an apology or even acknowledgement!

We had a really comfortable overnight stay here. I was travelling solo with two small children and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. We stayed on the second floor and our room was really cosy, with a comfy bed and fluffy bedding, and we heard very little noise from the pub below (only some shouts from one smoker in the garden with the window open). Breakfast was included and good value, and the free beer was a lovely touch. Easy to find and to park.

I stayed in worthing for business and was so impressed with this hotel. The rooms are beautifully designed, very clean, the small details were well thought out, including the complimentary bottle of beer in the fridge, and I genuinely had the best shower of my hotel staying life.
The staff was so helpful and friendly. I had dinner in the pub downstairs in the evening and was served by Tia who was very professional and knowledgeable.
I really recommend staying in this hotel! You will be well looked after.

I was really looking forward to our stay but was left very disappointed. We had a "classic" room at the back that was accessible by an annoyingly long code (a nice touch would be for the pub to ask for a mobile number before you travel and use that as the code so you don't have to clutch a paper with the code on it).
The room had a distinct smell of sewage that appeared to come most strongly from the toilet. The radiator was not working and despite it being reset , it would noisily work for 15 minutes then cut out. The Wifi instructions didn't work so the Smart TV wasn't particularly good either.
Getting to sleep in these place is difficult. We had a Saturday booking and the pub didn't stop pumping out very loud music until midnight, followed by another 40 minutes as people left or went back to their rooms. I know it's a Saturday but I expected some degree of soundproofing or mention that it gets loud on its website. I have stayed in public houses and not had it so bad. It would be even worse on a hot summer night given the large number of benches outside and the tiny single window that can be opened. Other nights still shut at 11pm and I imagine it still plays loud music. Ironically, the bed is really comfortable - it's just a shame you can't get to sleep much in it!
The small room also suffered from a squeaky door and when you opened it at night light would shine into the room. This means it is impossible to go to the toilet in the night without waking up your partner.
I felt that most of the staff considered themselves as bar staff rather than hotel staff and the emphasis was on customers figuring out things for themselves. Breakfast was ok.
A complimentary bottle of beer was nice but it would be more useful if there was one for each person in the room. And, what happened to the biscuits!?
Parking was easy to manage and probably the best part of the stay. I could leave it there and pop into the town centre very quickly.
Overall, I got six hours sleep and was pretty eager to get out of the place on the Sunday. Shame as it looks like a nice place. Obviously, if you're on the razzle you'll probably think the place is amazing.

Excellent customer service. Loti went the extra mile to ensure I had a comfortable stay and organised a "breakfast" though I had to leave before breakfast started.
I stayed in Room 101. The room and bathroom was very clean, bedding was very comfy and bedroom had great ambience.
I would definitely stay again if and when I am in Worthing and would recommend to my colleagues.

Fantastic room, real boutique feel with a feel of quirky about it, nicely designed and decorated. The room had a fridge, lovely comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. We managed to get in earlier than normal checkbin time and a member of bar staff took us up and showed us how to unlock the room with the previously emailed code. We had lunch at the hotel and a fantastic breakfast that the manager made superb scrambled eggs for!
