Stayed here for one night on business, at a very reasonable rate.
First impressions are not great as you enter, it all looks a bit old and tired, with the bar and breakfast areas rather uninspiring; however all the staff were pleasant and welcoming.
A fairly new lift takes you to the rooms where the theme continues - a large room with most things you'd need, but rather old and tired furniture and uninspiring decor. The the room was clean and well prepared and the bed comfortable enough, but the TV seemed to not have any Freeview channels, and the shower was an old over bath job that liked to swing between scalding hot and cold with no warning.

There was a reasonable choice for breakfast, although I felt the Full English had a 'kept hot' feel - adequate but not great.

If you pay a good rate and don;t expect to much the hotel is probably fine, but I think there are better ones in Worthing.

The room was clean and the bathroom was both clean and free of mould. The breakfast was extremely prompt if a little too prompt but with staggered times for rooms due to covid this was understandable. The staff were super friendly and helpful and gave great advice about doing the coastal path from Meadfoot beach.
Despite these great things about my stay, there were a few little things that let it down but considering the price I paid I can let it off. I personally struggled with towels due to being given a hand towel, a single small towel that barely covered me and a bath mat it made getting dry a little tricky due to having long hair (my own fault for having long hair!), the whole hotel seems stuck in the 70s (I think? I’m a tad young to know much earlier than the mid nineties!) so could do with updating but it was oddly nice to go back in time! It would have also been nice to have known what the full English breakfast entailed so you knew if you wanted to veto anything off the plate and knowing the cereal options would help as I felt under pressure to give a quick response to the staff on at breakfast as they were doing everything they could to make breakfast as safe as they could, and despite the speed at which the breakfast came out the fried egg was cold and I found it difficult/impossible to flag the staff down to ask for juice which I wasn’t aware was an option until other people asked for it. Also as I was on a business trip it was sad to see that the free wifi got lost before I even reached my room meaning that I had to use communal areas to do confidential work which wasn’t ideal.
On the whole a good place, with good covid measures, friendly reception staff if a little dated on the decor

We stayed here for one night and had a fantastic stay. Our room was already set up (as a family room) when we arrived and had everything we needed - there were plenty of towels, cups and glasses, as well as water for all of us.

The room itself was very nicely decorated and very comfortable.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, especially the chaps who worked in the bar, who went out of their to make sure we had we enjoyed our stay. We decided to eat on the terrace that evening - we chose the fish sharing platter and we’re so glad we did….it was delicious and excellent value for money.

Breakfast the next morning was also very tasty, with a lot of choice available.

Overall, we had a great stay and would have no hesitation in visiting again. Thanks to all the Team!!

The location of the hotel is great but the hotel definitely needs a make over and a clean.

We had two exec rooms booked which were the same price however one room was completely different to the other and one was certainly not worth the £95 room fee. One had a full sea view so the cost of the room was justified purely due to the beautiful sea view.

Due to covid-restrictions a continental breakfast is delivered to your door so there are no cooked breakfasts. I’m not too sure why as you can order food from the bar in the day.

The room was very dirty and there was lots of damage in the room. The hotel itself was quiet but the room just wasn’t up to scratch. I do not think they should be charging almost £100 for such an unclean room.

This hotel has so much going for it but unfortunately there was a general lack of attention to detail.
Not a four star hotel as advertised. Certainly it could be four star but our room being the executive suite had,
chips and cracks on the walls, the bath panel and rust marks in the bathroom. Some may it be small but you dont expect it in a four star, best room ! Also the bed mattress was extremely thin and hence uncomfortable. You could feel the spring. Further the room seemed to be laid in not the best of ways and the "only continental breakfast "we had was terrible and so inadequate we had to go to a local cafe after leaving the hotel.
All of this is such a shame with a great location on the seafront with super sea views and a lovely old building .
I really think the hotel just needs someone with a reasonable level of experience and the hotel could be a great
success. The staff at the hotel I must say were all very helpful and extremely polite. They couldnt be faulted.
Just the product !!

Having stayed at this hotel a few times in the past, we were very disappointed to find that the standards have dropped so sharply within the last year. The lights didn’t work, the window blinds were broken, there were no curtains, there were huge stains on the bed side table, holes in the carpet, mould in the shower...The rooms feel more like motel rooms and are absolutely unacceptable. Furthermore, though a full cooked breakfast used to be included in the price, they now fail to mention that breakfast is now “continental”, which means a piece of toast, a box of cereal and an apple.

The staff were very helpful to us when we complained and “upgraded” us to an executive suite, only to find further mould in the shower and a disappointing “sea view”. Clearly the owners have chosen to renovate the main shared areas of the property as a priority, as opposed to focusing on the guest rooms themselves. Whilst the staff were super understanding and gracious, I’m afraid we won’t be staying here again.

Stayed for one night in an executive suite. The room was refurbished but not very well. Carpet was grubby, there were patches of damp in the room and there was a general air of grubiness.

The bed was very low to the ground and the mattress was thin and lumpy, you could feel the springs.

Breakfast was continental to be delivered to the room due to covid. What turned up was a pain au chocolate wrapped in plastic, an apple, porridge and a cheap yoghurt!

Such a shame really, it could be a lovely place, the view is gorgeous and room was a fabulous size but for what we paid it was a disappointment.

I'm coming to the end of a two night stay at the Burlington Hotel. I will be very sorry to leave. The hotel is comfortable, extremely clean and inviting. What makes it exceptional is its staff and restaurant. The receptionists make you feel very welcome, Fely and Peter who look after you in the bar and restaurant have the gift of making you feel special, but at the same time show a high degree of professionalism. You have the sense of feeling part of a family. But oh the chefs, the cuisine is exemplary! The blend of flavours and textures are incredible. One dish makes your mouth explode with flavours, try another and oh so subtley the flavours come forth. The chefs are truly are talented. So stay for a week, stay overnight or just come for dinner. You won't be disappointed.

On arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Kat, throughout the stay Kat went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We would also like to compliment Kate and Scott the cleaners, they did a through job each day and ensured that we were stocked up with milk /tea coffee etc (unlike other big chain hotels we have stayed at) they worked hard and were always pleasant. Ethan the bar tender / waiter was very professional and attentive. Plenty of choice at breakfast, evening meal was lovely but shame about the limited choice, had lunch on the balcony it was very pleasant.

I can't say enough about the Burlington Hotel.
Our room 203 overlooked the beach, it was exceptionally clean, great comfy bed, tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries plentiful and high standard quality. Bathroom was so clean and the roll top bath and shower was just the best, towels fluffy and soft. The breakfast menu choice was amazing and cooked superbly, the waiting staff were on hand to offer fruit juices, tea and coffee etc and were very attentive.
My husband and I decided to spend the night at the Burlington Hotel after having a Celebration of Life after my mother in laws funeral that day. Michelle was just so helpful in arranging an afternoon tea for family and friends and I've got to say it was presented so professionally and thoughtfully. Got to mention Michelle, Jade,Kat,Ethene,Lizzie,Barbara and Sam and apologies for staff who I didn't know their names for our time spent at the Burlington Hotel. Thank you all so much.

We unfortunately do not have car park however there is plenty of on street parking around the hotel and on the seafront. This is all free after 6pm and on Sundays. We look forward to seeing you in July.
