Hi Sue Thanks for your feed back. I have checked my records and I believe you came to us either before I took over or shortly after. We have come along way since then and our standards have dramatically improved. The lift issue is out of my control as it’s a listed building and we cannot put one in. We are however building 18 extra rooms which will have disabled access. These will be completed by the end of this year. Again thank you for your feed back and I wish you all the luck in the future. Kind regards Steve stevens (GM Grand Victorian Hotel)

the rooms are checked but not on a daily basis as I am very busy not just running the hotel but a bar and function room and restaurant. each time there is a review all hotel staff get shown and action is taken if needed.

we do have a couple of rooms that have had work done to them already, but when guests do not let us know about problems and then just put them on a review we cannot do anything to help.

we are sorry you did not like your room at the grand Victorian hotel we are in the process of updating all the rooms but as i'm sure you will appreciate this does take time when you have a busy hotel. so there will be no need to go on a tv show thanks. perhaps if you had made us aware that you were unhappy we could have moved you to a better room.
