Actually the third time we have been back to this hotel as we really enjoy the family atmosphere, friendly service and arts and craft house and contents. Room and bathroom was clean, bed comfortable, breakfast exactly what we wanted and location good for getting into Wolves as well as visiting elsewhere. Best is the price which, even if you found...

Allocated pleasant double en-suite room (16) on ground floor with view out to rear car park and garden, although travelling solo. Comfortable bed. Good selection of breakfast buffet and then choice of up to 9 item full breakfast served from kitchen. Attentive service to one's requirements.

An enjoyable experience for a one night stay when we were visiting the Black Country Museum. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel was clean and tidy and the room rate was very reasonable. There is no evening meal service but the staff will direct you to nearby restaurants Would definitely book again if in the...

Thank you for your very positive review. We are very well located for the Black Country Museum and othe visitor attractions including Ironbridge Gorge and Dunstall Horse Racing track. I am particularly glad you liked breakfast as we provide a wide selection for just £7.00pp. At only £39 for 2 people I obviously agree we charge very reasonable rates! Thanks...

Lovely warm welcome, clean, quaint, comfy bed. Hotel doesn't have a bar or eating facilities (except breakfast), however guests are welcome to bring their own and are encouraged to sit in the public areas. The rooms have a 1920s theme/feel about it too, old gramophone vibe. Something different but nice. Only downside is that room was on main road so...

Thank you for your review. It's lovely to hear that you appreciated the traditional nature of the hotel. We endeavour to retain the heritage of this beautiful interior whilst keeping up to date with the present! We choose not to sell alcohol, but as you say actively encourage guests to bring their own and use our lovely Drawing Room to...

Character, spacious bathroom, cute tea snacks and clean. For the rate, I'm surprised it isn't more expensive for the quality you receive. The staff are friendly and there's free parking too. Highly recommend!

Many thanks for your review Kiran. We like to provide great value, but thanks for saying we could charge more. We like to offer unlimited tea, coffee and chocolate drinks with a bottle of water and chocolate bar thrown in - it all adds up! Thank again and please keep us in mind for the future. John

Me and my friend had an excellent 2 night stay here. The service was fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was very good and cooked to order. The room was lovely with tea/coffee facilities. The hotel is very quirky with lots of interesting decor. I would recommend it. It was excellent value.

Stayed here two nights to visit Penn cemetery. I originate from Penn, this was an ideal location for the purpose of our visit. Requested a ground floor bedroom with walk in shower. Overlooked pretty gardens. Bed extremely comfortable. Free WiFi, also can drink own wine in the amazing lounge. Cooked breakfast to order was delicious. Keith and staff very friendly....

Thanks you for your review. I am pleased that you were happy with your stay and thank you for noticing the gardens; Keith, the Manager spends a lot of his own time on them. We have recently upgraded the wifi and we always like guests to bring their own alcohol as it helps keeps costs down! If you return to...

Stayed here as I needed to be in Wolverhampton early for a meeting. Easy to find, with carpark within its grounds. Quaint entrance and dining rooms (infact, most of the public areas were well decorated). Room was basic, with a very large bathroom, but it had all I needed, including tea coffee and biscuits. Had breakfast here, and was very...

Thanks for your review which accurately represents what we offer guests. Keeping this Edwardian building up to scratch isn't easy, but it's worth it. We like to think we offer great value at affordable prices including free wi-fi and extensive breakfast choices, including a full English cooked to order for only £7.00. Thanks again for your kind comments. John

Super little hotel with a lot of character. Reasonably priced too for the size of the room that you get. This hotel is very comfortable and clean, friendly service and staff. Located quite centrally to many areas.
