My problem with this hotel is not the room or service as such but more about being misled about the "free parking". We arrived there and was asked to type the car registration into the machine at the reception desk. We dutifully did so and parked the car overnight while we attended a funeral. Two weeks later we received a...

After reading other reviews, I was apprehensive of my stay. The building is tired and needs some tlc but the staff are lovely, the bed, bedding and towels very clean. The room was a little grubby and yes, all of the floor boards creek. You need to run the shower for at least 5 minutes but after that time the...

If you fancy a spot of time travel in Warrington the Patten arms is certainly for you! On entering the property you'll be smacked around the face with decrepit nostalgia and your nasal passage inundated with the heavy smell of grease - taking a breath puts you at risk of a heart attack! Rooms are rather dated donning pine suites,...

The building exterior speaks to the age of the building itself. You could be forgiven for assuming that the rooms themselves could be falling apart and run down. Thankfully, at least for myself in Room 23, the room appeared to have been completely renovated at some point in the last few years. The bathtub was a welcome experience after a...

Checked in mid-afternoon but after seeing the room and bathroom decided not to stay. The room was dusty and smelled of cigarette smoke The bathroom was very old fashioned and not up to modern standards.

Ideal for the town centre - friendly staff, clean rooms and a good breakfast - great value for money & we would use again... Could do with a bit of an update (& has very creaky floorboards!!) though that didn't spoil our stay at all...

The hotel is very convenient for the railway station and the centre of Warrington. The decor and furnishings are very dated, however the hotel was very clean and was good value for money. The hotel also has free parking which is a bonus. There was also a very hearty breakfast on offer included in the price, though the pre-cooked fried...

Handy as right opposite station, and could achieve old world charm but is rather dated and disappointingly the heating was very poor so room was cold, and so was the water to shower and shave in come morning

Stayed here for one night, was supposed to be 2, I'm glad my job got cancelled as I was not looking forward to a second night here. Pro's: 1. The staff are all very polite and friendly. 2. Nice size room. 3. Good tv Con's: 1. The place is very tired and in desperate need of a complete overhaul. 2....

This was the worst hotel that I have stayed at in my whole life [I am an old person with extensive travel experience]. The Victorian style building was maybe "renovated" back in the 1960's on a tight budget - or so it would seem. The decor is rough and amateurish. The electrical wiring is very budget [including the extension to...
