Thank you for having us to stay in your lovely conservatory room. We loved the view over the countryside and breakfast was delicious. We were attending a wedding in the area and you were both very helpful, going out of your way to ensure that our trip was hassle free - thank you both very much.

Small cosy room, perfect for a nights stop over. Amazing view over the moors. Very clean with a good shower room. A small road is close by which seems quite busy at first but this goes very quiet by about 9. Very good breakfast with anything you could wish for.

The rooms are comfortable and well appointed and you get a very friendly welcome in this B & B set in perfect Devon countryside. The highlight was a delicious breakfast - local sausages and bacon and new laid eggs from the landlady's own chickens.

Had a lovely 2 day stay here with my wife and 2 adult children whilst visiting relatives in Tavistock. Beautifully situated with lovely views and Dave and Gill made us feel very welcomed indeed. Both bedrooms were very comfortable and nicely furnished etc. Breakfast was excellent and we would definitely stay again if we revisit the area. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 3 nights this month as was visiting our daughter who has recently moved to Tavistock. We were given a very warm welcome from Gill and Dave. We stayed in the smaller front room but the bigger room was free so we were welcomed to use the conservatory in that room as the views are stunning. As in...

Deciding to undertake a last minute wander on Dartmoor we were lucky enough to get a late room at Appledown House. This B&B is everything you hope a B&B is going to be and a great location for Tavistock, West Dartmoor or even Bodmin. The owners are exceptionally helpful and I really mean that. We will go back in a...

A lovely little B and B, with warm and friendly owners. Very accommodating to our family situation. A great breakfast too with local produce. Not sure how long these owners will be there as I think they are looking to get a little closer to their family but if its the same owners, we would return.

We have just returned from a weekend break spent at Appledown House B&B. The Welcome and care shown throughout our stay was amazing. We felt very at home.
