We have enjoyed another 4-night stay at this lovely B&B which is professionally run but with the all important personal and friendly touch. We were in the well-appointed Braeburn suite which is lovely - we are always sorry to leave and look forward to our next visit.

Near to the centre of the town, this is a most comfortable place to stay. The décor, ambience and breakfast make it a first choice for us. We have stayed twice now and the high standards were consistently maintained. Thoroughly recommended.

My sister and I stayed for one night only at Apple Tree and would have happily stayed for several if we had had the time. Firstly, it was just so pretty. The decor was stunning and there were so many lovely touches throughout. We stayed in the Scarlet Suite at the front of the house and whilst the traffic could...

This was the first stay at a b and b for many years and it was a delightful and refreshing experience. Andy and Jayne were the perfect hosts and made the stay like home from home. The rooms are adequate in size and well appointed. Watch out however for the room with the mini wash hand basin. Visitors are unlikely...

My sister and I booked to stay at The Apple Tree after reading reviews in Tripadvisor. We booked a twin room for last weekend as we were in Tavistock for a wedding. When we arrived we had a warm welcome by Andrew the owner, and shown to our beautiful room and he even made us a pot of tea, which...

Andy is a good host, obliging and helpful, and we had an enjoyable stay. But the website concentrates on praising everything, and leaves some uncertainties, so I'll try to comment on things which matter when you're over 70, and which would not occur to vigorous young owners like Andy and Jayne. The house is situated conveniently for the best restaurants,...

While our two night stay, ended up just being one due to a poorly child, we found the Apple Tree B&B to be superb. We had a small double room which was clean and nicely decorated with a large comfortable bed and en-suit. The breakfast was varied and parking facilities were good too. Although we didnt stay as long as...

We spent a weekend here, and were very impressed. The house is clean, welcoming and very comfortable, and our room was excellent - enough space, well furnished and with good views. The breakfast was freshly prepared, plentiful and very tasty. Andy and his family are very helpful and welcoming without being intrusive. Highly recommended!

Excellent! Very comfortable clean rooms. Good breakfast. Delightful hosts. Handy location for exploring Dartmoor and very close to the centre of Tavistock. Good off road parking. Can't really be faulted. Highly recommended.

Stayed here one night with an old school pal. We were walking the Devon coast-to-coast cycleway, so left our cars at 9.15am, caught bus (the bus station is 200m away!) to Okehampton and walked back then stayed overnight. Apple Tree is actually on the route and in the absence of the owner, Ali looked after us very well. The twin...
