We went for a meal at the Clifton Arms for Valentines Day. We weren't disappointed. Food was excellent- fillet steak cooked perfectly. Canapés were a bonus and creme brûlée was delicious. There were lots of staff and so our service was great. On the evening there was a pianist playing who added to the ambience. All in it was a...

We visited this hotel as the venue for a family celebration and stayed overnight. The bedroom was warm, comfortable, nicely furnished and well provided with wardrobe and drawer space. The reception (for around 100 people) was handled well. Both food and service were very good. The evening event was also very enjoyable. The hotel was well provided with seating areas...

Just returned from a two night stay at the Clifton Arms Hotel as a birthday treat. We stayed in a Director class room on a bed, breakfast and evening meal basis, which cost £200 per night. This cost included an allowance of £30 per person for dinner each night. We arrived at lunchtime and was told that our room was...

We recently stayed for two nights dinner, bed and breakfast. The hotel, itself, is situated right in the centre of Lytham. There is a large green in front of the hotel and then the promenade. It is possible to walk both to the right and to the left of the hotel along the seafront. We walked round the bay to...

Brought my husbands gran here for her Christmas present as heard good things about their afternoon tea. Staff were friendly and amenable from the start as we had to change our booking twice. Room is nicely decorated (bar area) with a fire in the centre. 4 sandwiches each, very fresh (sometimes they are pre-cut and dry out but not here)....

The room was nice and big and had a sea view. It was a bit too hot so we had to open the window, but better too hot than too cold. The décor could be better, a bit bare, a picture or two and a standard lamp would be good, wardrobes looked cheap and had a distressed wood look as...

We are regular visitors to the Clifton Arms Hotel. We return mainly because the staff make us feel extremely welcome and it feels like home from home. We sometimes meet regular faces which is lovely as we can enjoy a 'catch up'. The meals are delicious, particularly the breakfasts which give you a very good 'start to the day', and...

Had a good night at the Clifton. Everyone made us very welcome, reception, bar staff and breakfast manager all very friendly with great service. Really enjoyed our stay, great location, tasty breakfast. Room faced out onto the bay, local bars and restaurants all close by. Free car park. Our room was clean, bed comfy.Bathroom seemed recently tiled. The only slight...

We arrived at 5pm we had booked a directors suite I wouldn't say the room was worth £180 for the one night as it was quite dated and lacked ambience plain cream walls with one picture. the ceilings are high, there was a brown old wardrobe in the corner that wasn't really looking right. However the bed was really comfy...
