First of all the staff were absolutely lovely and helpful. Great location right next to the train station and old town. Lovely breakfast ordered how and what you like. Room was quiet and comfortable. We didn't eat in the pub downstairs but the pies looked and smelled wonderful!

The hotel does not appear to be anything special but it is. We had 2 nights which were extremely good value, our bed was very comfortable and the full English breakfast was great. The hotel is very central, being near the quay and the staff are cheerful, what else do you want?

Spent three nights good service- would recommend. Lovely to stay so centrally. Enjoyed seeing the tops of the masts in the harbour from our - but that may be a one off. Tasty breakfast. Made very welcome and were well looked after. Would go back.

Stayed at the B & B for a long weekend. It is easy to find and just a few minutes walk from the main shopping street and literally a stones throw from Lymington rail station. The accommodation was good, not outstanding but very comfortable. Pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and the best pie, mash and mushy peas I have...

It was a nice sunny day and one of our friends saw the sign so we thought we would give it a try. Very friendly service, beer was good and lunchtime snacks (sandwiches) which were made with nice fresh bread. Will return next time we visit Lymington.

Great beer (Wadworths), prompt service of Pieminster pies, unpretentious busy pub with board games and TV coverage of the rugby that didn't overwhelm anyone who'd just come in for a quiet drink. My favourite pub in Lymington, just wish it was up the road from my house so I could come more often...

We booked this last minute and were very happy with what we got. I always worry booking rooms in a pub, but here it was done with the utmost professionalism. The room was large, bright, airy, clean, and really nicely decorated. The staff were lovely and really welcoming and helpful. I was happy to find they had veggie sausages for...

The wife and I were attending the preview party of an exciting new venue in Lymington: Koh Thai Tapas. We booked into The Bosun's Chair purely because of its location, parking and sensible price. We were bowled over by the flashing smile of Meghan who welcomed us right regally! We had Room 1 which was spacious, warm, well-appointed and quiet....

Excellent value especially given the area and price of other local options. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast cooked quickly and good quality. Not noisy despite being a pub. Only downside was the offering of the hate-ridden Dailly Mail and comparable Sun newspapers at breakfast time , although I didn't detect any xenophobic, homophobic or sexism from the staff. Would...

We stayed here for 3 nights. On arrival the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us if they could. We booked a double room with a private shower. The room was very clean and they provided a Tassimo machine where we could make coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc in the room. The bathroom was...
