I booked a deal via Travelzoo for four of us, Cream Tea, glass of fizz, 5 course tasting menu and bed and breakfast £149 per couple. Had no great expectations but optimism rose with the friendly service when booking. We were very impressed. Had "posh" restaurant food at higher prices and been disappointed - but not here. Warm welcome, cream...

I return once again to stay at this beautiful Boutique Hotel having our business in the same town. It is not often we stay for an evening meal always heading into the high street for something to eat. But tonight on arrival we where given a selective well priced Corporate Guest Menu with some great choices ranging from traditional Bangers...

I rarely put pen to paper after staying at a hotel but this time I felt that I needed to, so here goes. You would have to be very picky to fault this hotel. So to be picky......it would be great if they could offer a proper draft local beer, and the unusual smell in the Garden room corridor, which...

Visited on a Travelzoo offer and was overwhelmed. From check in to departure all staff were exceptional. One is asked to identify someone who excelled, I could not as they all were most friendly and helpful and provided my wife and I with a most memorable experience. It is all quality, from the moment you enter the building you feel...

Then nespresso machine in addition to the usual tea and coffee making facilities was a nice touch. Good wardrobe and cupboard space. Robes and slippers too. The bathroom...

My husband and I have just returned from a night at the beautiful Stanwell House. I can honestly say that this was the best hotel I have ever stayed in, the service was out of this world, the food was incredible and the decor eclectic, classy yet comfortable. Upon arrival we were greeted by the wonderful Marilyn and Irene. Very...

We recently took over the Seafood Restaurant at the Stanwell for a small (25 people) private family celebration lunch. The event was everything we hoped for and more - good food in a relaxing and intimate location with outstanding service. We were all made to feel very special.

We (husband, 6 year old child and 4-month old puppy and I) have today returned from a one night stay at Stanwell House. Used to a nice class of hotel and not used to staying anywhere with animals (would have avoided prior to the new addition in our family!) We were pleasantly surprised with the high standards of the hotel....

Cannot fault this Hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend staying in the suites. Our room was amazing. So comfortable, spacious and stylish. We enjoyed the tasting menu here. Every course was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The presentation was incredible. A very enjoyable stay, will definitely return.
