We recently had our wedding at quorn country hotel and I can’t praise them highly enough. All the staff couldn’t have done more to help make our day perfect. They were so friendly and attentive and nothing was to much trouble. We had so much feedback from our guests about how approachable the staff were, how lovely the food was and what a beautiful setting and feel the venue had. All in all our day was magical and having all the planning taken care of by the hotel made the day run without a hitch. So once again thank you to Claire, Jamie, Dan and every other member of the fantastic team we had dealings with who all had a part in making our special day one we will never forget. I stayed at this hotel once before a couple of years ago and was pretty underwhelmed. Fast forward to present day and I rebooked with a bit of hesitation as I'd convinced myself I was maybe remembering it worse than it really was... wrong! Checked in this evening and was allocated a "suite". On the positive side, the room was absolutely enormous but as they say, size isn't everything. The decor is dated 80s naffness throughout, including the bathroom. The maintenance was really poor with visible damage almost everywhere, including dimmer switches that didn't dim. The icing on the cake however was the discovery of the previous guest's dirty underwear left on one of the chairs in the bedroom. So back to reception I went. They apologised and allocated me an 'executive room' instead. I have to stress that the pictures included with this review are of the *replacement* room. Still a reasonable size room but the vile 80s chintz prevailed along with a horrible damp/musty smell. A visit to the bathroom revealed a delight for the eyes with peach tiles and large areas of poo brown grout that had clearly never been replaced as needed and barely ever cleaned. The absolute dealbreaker came however when having seen the total lack of care around even the most basic cleaning standards, I checked the bed. I was equally shocked yet not shocked to discover a completely inadequate mattress protector had been laid the wrong way across two mattresses, only providing halfway protection, instead of fitting individual ones. That was game over for me and I checked out the same evening and found a much better alternative just a few miles down the road. Suffice to say I will never return to this hotel again.

We stayed here 30th October for an excellent Murder Mystery evening which was ruined by a terribly run breakfast & unhelpful, poorly managed staff. They ignored our written complaint & it smacks of rudeness

Had a deal to come here so came with the other half for a Sunday Lunch. Food was lovely and the beef was beautifully cooked. We enjoyed a nice glass of wine with our meal and both opted to have dessert which was unbelievable. Certainly a place to keep in mind for another Sunday Lunch.

Firstly the whole team were lovely and very friendly, and that’s a big plus, and secondly the bed was really comfy. Other than that the Quorn Country Hotel are trying to cut costs to the bone and it really let them down. Everywhere was freezing, the heating in the rooms couldn’t be adjusted, we had to have a fan heater by us in the restaurant. The rooms were grubby, mould in tiles, dust on surfaces etc etc. all the things you know to look at if you watch 4 in a bed. We had a gin and tonic, no lemon/lemon in it. Nice glasses, we commented on them and were told that hadn’t had any decent glasses for ages, very sweetly the lady was made up someone bothered to give her some new glasses. The tray used to bring coffee was a metal kitchen gastronom Our salmon dish had Hollandaise so sweet and lemony we were sure it was a dessert wrongly used Top tip- never order a Sunday roast in the evening, the meat was like leather but I think that was our error to think it would be otherwise. The team earned 2 of the stars
