Booked for one night before undertaking a tour of Loughborough Uni. As it's located within the university's grounds the location is ideal. Loads of car-parking. Breakfast is very good. A few minor observations: had informed the hotel that we'd be arriving quite late, but felt that on arrival the booking-in process was purely functional rather than friendly because of the hour, that said the staff at breakfast and on checking-out were very friendly; hotel public spaces and bedroom itself were spotless but the bathroom had several hairs on the floor and in the bath and looked rather tired compared to the bedroom; coffee/tea facilities hadn't been restocked; advertised as having in-house movie channels but this didn't appear to be an option on the TV menu. The pool and spa looked very inviting but we didn't have time to use it unfortunately. Can see that if you were staying for a couple of nights that this would be a great facility. Perhaps a bit pricey for one night, but its location for the university and the complimentary facilities (if you have time to use them) would make up for this.

Food slow Service - also slow Prices - overpriced Room far too hot even in December with the heating turned off Gym - usable but not much equipment Jacuzzi - far too cold Waiting staff purposely see you take a mouthful of food then ask “is everything okay” it must be an in joke but it’s the height of rudeness

So happy the Sunday carvery was back on when we went. Excellent choice of food and all delicious. Fantastic customer service and all in a safe covid environment. I believe they are only doing Sunday lunches for special occasions throughout the year which is a shame but if you get chance book on, you won't be disappointed.

Disappointed to learn on arrival that the spa closed at 6pm and there would be no massage therapists at work for four days. The room was fine but breakfast was mediocre - cold eggs, stale bread, minimal service. There was no ventilation in the dining room and many guests were walking about the hotel without masks so it didn't feel as Covid-safe as it could have been. To encourage guests to wear masks, more signs would help.

Located within Loughborough University campus is Undoubtedly the beat hotel in the area. Clean and spacious rooms. Staff are friendly. And there enough power sockets with USB ports as well. Only down side is that there is no elevator to the rooms level.
