We stayed at the Riverside Mill for two nights. It is an excellent B and B in a wonderful setting. We enjoyed a great welcome with a tasty breakfast. We loved all the local wildlife, but didn't see the otters this time, but not to worry it's a perfect excuse to go back which we will definitely do.

This was our third visit and we were welcomed by Heather and Martin (along with their new arrival Sky the Labrador) like old friends. Within five minutes of arriving we had seen a kingfisher and the swans and heron were still there on the river. The rooms are comfortable and have fantastic view of the river and wildlife. Luckily enough...

This place has been beautifully restored & it a great vantage-point for wild-life. A grey heron flew by as we arrived. It was slightly off our GPS, but we found it fine. We had an interesting room with an excellent ensuite. Peaceful location. Lots of wildlife. Good breakfast. We would probably have come here again were it not for an...

Oh yes, if you want to stay in the Lockerbie area, this is the place. Apart from the very nice rooms, excellent breakfasts and our hosts warm welcome. The place is a menagerie of wild animals (oh, and a very enthusiastic young labrador) We saw lots of red squirrels feeding from Heathers food table & bowls , scurrying about burying...

We stayed at riverside mill to break up our journey to Glen Carron with our 13 week old puppy. The location is truly amazing with lots of different birds, and red squirrels in the garden. We arrived in pouring rain but it did not stop Heather walking with us down the woodland path with her black lab Skye. Our room...

An absolutely superb B&B, best we've ever stayed at. Beautiful setting, unfortunately we arrived just as it was getting dark, we were warmly greeted by Heather and Martin and shown to our large lovely room. They very kindly lit the wood burner in the summerhouse by the river where we could sit and relax after our long drive. We had...

The location - in an incredibly tranquil setting, by a river that had herons, otters & brown trout jumping. Red squirrels playing in front of the house, and wild birds by the score. The guest house - super rooms (one a self contained annexe), with loads of room, superb furnishings & a huge bathroom with first class fittings. The breakfast...

Unbeatable location by a wooded area of the river Annan, with beautiful gardens really good double room and great breakfast, complete with local strawberries and blueberries. Great to go off to sleep hearing nothing but the rushing water in the river. Also good to see all the woodpeckers and red squirrels. Maybe next time we will see the otters.
