This is a lovely clean place. The food was excellent & changed our order of potatoes & veg to chips & salad. Prices on par with Orkney also potion sizes. I would recommend this place to any of my family & friends. Lovely views aswell. Never stayed just had a evening meal....

Three day return visit to this outstanding restaurant with rooms. Accomodation excellent value and the service from the young restaurant staff was friendly and efficient. Food was outstanding - can particularly recommend the North Ronaldsay mutton. Will return to these beautiful islands provided I stay here.

We booked a meal in here for a treat after living off a camping stove all week. I was not disappointed! The food is incredible, we had the most amazing fillet steak that was cooked to perfection. All the staff are really friendly and welcoming, and there is the most fantastic view overlooking the bay.

The rooms are large and gorgeous. Having accommodation and dinner in the same building is a great idea. The food is delicious, without fail. The service is friendly and competent. The location is very handy, but probably my favourite thing was the view over Scapa Flow. Absolutely recommended. Great value.

Four of us had the most amazing stay at the Foveran, several miles outside Kirkwall, when we stayed for 5 days in July. The countryside setting with a pasture sloping down to the water is beautiful; the rooms are charming and well-equipped; and the restaurant deserves its top reputation as the best restaurant on Orkney. When staying at the hotel,...

We stayed over when exploring the beautiful Orkneys. We had dinner at the restaurant on the first night and the food was simply outstanding. Fabulous views over the fields to the ocean, Scapa Flow, with attentive service making it a special night dining in. The room was well sized with a very generous bathroom.

Stayed for five days at the Foveran. Helpful and friendly staff. Well located. A must to visit. They bill themselves as a restaurant with rooms. The food is amazing. There is so much to see and do in the area. Many 5000 year old archeological sites plus beautiful landscapes

I have reviewed the food, the inn is quaint. Very comfortable. It is very well located to do a lot of sightseeing . Kirkwill is full of history back to the beginning of time. Look for other post about the surrounding area.
