Old and tired. Interior corridors reminded me of the overlook in the shining. All rooms face the main road and there is no double glazing, noise from outside will disturb your sleep. Breakfast area looked nice but thought choice to eat was slim. At £118 per night very expensive for what you get.

New menu since the last time we were there. The prices are very good for the food you are served. Had a great meal. Staff are very friendly Would recommend anyone to try the food. I will be back again to try more from the menu.

Check in was okay, bedroom was acceptable - that unfortunately is the end of anything positive to say. Breakfast- poor quality and bacon not really cooked. Coffee was cold and tasted poor. The hotel is very dated and looks like something from the 1970's. Check out - would have been nice to have been asked if I enjoyed my stay,...

We booked here for 3 days for up helly aa. The booking took real tenacity, many calls etc, however the rooms were there when we arrived. The location opposite ferry terminal is great. Lots of parking and big rooms. Also a warm hotel. Staff are friendly, but not always the most efficient. So in restaurant, it can take awhile to...

I was on a cycling holiday in Orkney and Shetland. We had let people at the hotel know that we would need a place to put bikes, which they agreed to, but when we arrived we were told there wasn't anywhere. We had to argue to get a place. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were mostly...

Thank you for taking the time to comment, although I note your visit was in June 2016? We do try to accommodate cycles etc, but not to the extent of people taking them into the public areas where other customers mingle and where they can be fire escape issues; my understanding is we did accommodate your cycles but in an...

Disgusting attitude from resturant manager and staff. Left waiting for ages between courses and constantly fobbed off with "we are busy" in am empty resturant. Rooms are dated but the place is massivly let down with the poor level of service. I will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone and I suggest the management have a good...

I stayed here last week whilst attending a conference. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel staff very helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff were very accommodating to a vegetarian who does not like vegetables and modified dishes to suit my taste. The only draw back in wet windy weather is the hotel is located opposite the ferry terminal...

Booked a meal for our anniversary and we weren't disappointed. Nice and quiet as it was midweek. Surroundings clean and modern, decent prices too and the food was very good. Will definitely be back. Keep it up.

Having stayed at the Lerwick’s sister hotel whilst staying in Shetland for work last month, I was looking forward to seeing if there was any major difference in service or rooms. Check-in at the Lerwick was quick and I was in my room within 5 minutes. Like the Shetland Hotel, the rooms at the Lerwick are old. The décor, carpets,...
