After a long journey by train arrived at 5.30 pm checked in entrance was lovely and deco looked impressive revived keys enters room that again looked very impressive opened the curtains witch had water stains on them also to find dead flys and Human hair on window ledge everything was fine just say poor house keeping the next day there...

I will tell you the pros first. You certainly will find it hard to get better value than £39 for two including full English breakfast. Me and my wife only stayed for 1 night. The staff were wonderful, the hotel was nice, however our night was not great, due to the location of our room. Room 28 is located at the bottom the stairs, between reception and an entrance to the kitchen. The noise levels here are high, there was a horrible, greasy chip fryer...

Like most reviews ... this hotel is lovely but it does have both good and bad points ... Positive Review: Staff friendly and helpful both on check in and in the restaurant. Breakfast and dinner was tasty and staff were very accommodating. Good selection of foods for breakfast. Clean, warm and cosy bar, restaurant and reception. Plenty of parking. Bedroom...

I don't want to be too negative about this hotel, as for the most part I did like it. I do think however that they are promoting themselves to be slightly higher/better than they actually are. This most definitely isn't a four star establishment, and I can only assume that anyone rating this property has been given the best room...

We had an evening meal 3 nights which was very good and would recommend eating there, breakfast was very nice and for a change it was an early breakfast. Check in OK but downhill after that. Room 8 was not clean. Mold in small bathroon. Dust behind all drawer units Floor gritty. The door to the room did not fit and did not lock, could be a fire hazard. Matress uncomfortable. Noisy plumbing from rooms above. Very noisy from next door room (7) and corridoor. No view, walls only....

Wonderful hotel.staff very friendly and rooms lovely decorated and very comfortable. We took our 2 Springer spaniels and were given a lovely room , nicely away from the other rooms so our dogs were not disturbed. Dining hall n lounge very comfortable. Really enjoyed breakfast and staff were very attentive . Bar meals good value too. Couldn't connect to WiFi...

A run of the mill guest house with paper thin walls, staff welcoming breakfast uninspiring though, quite grubby in places, woken by roofers above our head not mentioned when booking not that warm either, would,not stay again
