We recently stayed at Culdearn House for the third time in six years - and it continues to be a very special place. We live in California, so our stays at Culdearn have been purposely planned as a part of our visits to Europe. The property is in a quiet location, but still central to visiting area attractions (many top...

Every detail at Culdearn house had been considerd and provided for - having been in hospitality all our lives, we are quite fussy! We stayed here for the last 2 nights of a touring holiday, and this was really excellent accommodation. After Williams warm welcome, we were shown to our room on the top floor, everything you required was there,...

We booked this hotel by looking at the reviews on Tripadvisor and I am happy to say that it exceeded our expectations. The place is beautiful, there is so much attention to details, from each guests needs, to the decor, to the little things. The rooms are very comfortable, cozy, with as many details as a luxury hotel. The food?...

My boyfriend and i wanted to get away for Valentine's Day and Culdearn House looked like the perfect spot as it is very well situated for walking in the Cairngorms. Upon arrival we were given help with our bags by our very welcoming host and shown into a cosy and beautifully decorated sitting room (with a lovely warm fire going...

Spent hogmanay plus two nights at the culdearn house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We could not have been treated better by the hosts and combined with Sonya's excellent cooking and William's fromt of house made it a very enjoyable experience. The entertainment and food on hogmanay was wonderful followed by the count down to 12 o'clock and fireworks in...

We have just returned home from a stay at Culdearn House for the Hogmanay package plus two extra nights. A truly great experience, Bill and Sonia are fantastic hosts who could not be more helpful or attentive. Sonia's cooking is absolutely delightful, and Bill's front of house attention is wonderful. The hotel is welcoming, friendly and comfortable, and New Years...

My husband and I enjoyed a superb evening at this charming Country House Hotel. We arrived to a warm welcome, shown into a cosy sitting room, to be served with canapés prior to dining. Our dinner was perfect, scallops were cooked to absolute perfection, best I have ever eaten. My husband was also very impressed with his lamb. Presentation and...

We (two couples) were on a 10 days business/leisure trip which started at the Glen Eagles, Sheraton Spa in Edinburgh, Fairmont Hotel in St. Andrews with many high points, enjoying the best Scotland has to offer. Suffice it to say, the Culdearn House rivaled some of our finest dining and accommodations. The owners worked tirelessly to meet and anticipate every...

This establishment was by far the best place I stayed during my "premium" walking tour and very worthy of the term "premium". I arrived here at the end of a very long day. Not long after starting my hike in the morning, I fell through the trail into the peat bog. Left leg into the bog, up to my hip....

A group of four of us arrived exhausted after a long walk and were greeted and shown to our rooms which were without a doubt the best I have ever experienced. The owners are very obliging and welcoming. An excellent breakfast and a packed lunch of lamb and smoked salmon plus a quiche specially made for us. This accomodation cannot...
