I can't say enough wonderful things about muckrach and their talented team of staff. They rescued me when my car for hire broke down, with grace and compassion. Food was great and the cocktails are hand crafted with nice attention to detail. Just lovely!

Great location, superb room accommodation, and truly excellent dining. The bathrooms are very well appointed and new: separate shower and tub, great lighting, shelves for toiletries, etc. Very comfortable bed, and great views from the windows. We had the Glenlivet room (which I read that someone else claimed was disappointing, but we had no such complaint). In London we stayed...

I refer here to the restaurant. Booked a table for lunch for our anniversary and the hotel took my telephone number - good practice. Now for all I know the food may be excellent but I didn't get a chance to find out because we arrived to be told that they were only doing 'soup and sandwiches' that day! Soup...

What a wonderful hotel. Beautiful room, comfortable beds, lovely ensuite. The food was magnificent. A cosy lounge, bar area and outside seating for the brilliant Scottish sunshine we were lucky enough to encounter. Upmarket yes, but well worth it. Superb.

The decor and ambiance of the recently refurbished Muckrach Lodge was excellent. The bedroom we stayed was 5 star, although quite compact, but excellent value for money. I would agree with some other guest reviewers that the waiting and front of house staff could have been a bit more attentive to our needs, but hopefully the training will improve this...

Excellent customer service nothing too much trouble, newly refurbished so in a beautiful condition very nicely decorated throughout. A little bit unique and private home from home comforts well fitted rooms and bathrooms however a little arm in the summer as no air-conditioning available. Sound systems throughout the hotel however pop music in the background unusual for such a hotel and...

The location is good for a relaxing night en route to or from the northern Highlands of Scotland, being close to the A9. Initially we couldn't find anyone to check us in, but we eventually found a smart young man who showed us to an annexe room, a short few steps from the main hotel, which was very comfortable and...

We had a one night stay in a classic room celebrating a big birthday. For dinner we treated ourselves to the fillet steak after excellent starters. The fillet steaks were the best that we have ever had. The breakfast was also very good. The staff were friendly and helpful so all round we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay.

We entered the dining area, and although two waiters were moving about we were not approached. I went to the bar where staff said just to take...
