This lovely old hotel is part of the history of Grange over Sands, being designed by the same architect who designed the grade 2 listed railway station for the railway company. In an elevated position above the station, the views across Grange over Sands and Morecombe Bay are

Dear Ms D Thank you for your lovely 5 star review. It's brilliant to hear that you had such a ball when you all stayed with us. We are very near the railway station and the main bus stop so, once here, you can travel to very many places in The Lakes by public transport. This allows you to watch the spectacular scenery as you go by rather than having to concentrate on the roads. Good to hear that you spent some time relaxing in our Leisure Suite and enjoying one or two of Catherine and Laura's superb treatments. There is a vast array of available treatments on offer and these can be found on our website and booked online. I shall pass on your very kind comments to our staff and chefs who work hard to look after our guests and make their experience as luxurious as possible. We pride ourselves on being able to cater for all kinds of different events such as those you mention, as well as a individual guest stays and it's great to hear you say that you would recommend The Grange Hotel for all. The Victorian hotel surroundings and Italianate interior play a great part in creating a luxurious ambience for our guests - we're glad you appreciated your surroundings during your stay. We hope to be able to welcome you back soon. Warm Regards The Grange Hotel

Dear Julie What a joy it was to read your generous review! We are delighted to have earned full marks in your eyes. Fabulous to hear that you loved your room and the provisions and facilities within it. I will pass on your comments about the shower cubicle thank you. We are pleased that you were able to enjoy and make good use of our Leisure Suite. It certainly is an excellent place to cosy up in when the weather is blustery outdoors. Our chefs work exceptionally hard to produce delicious high quality food and they will be very pleased to hear that you appreciated their offerings. I will pass on your particular thanks to Megan and Greg who will be truly touched to have a mention in your review. I will also pass on your compliments and thanks to the rest of the staff, who I know enjoyed your stay with us too. We hope to see you again some time soon. Please do call us direct to book so that we can organise your stay exactly as you would wish. Warm Regards Grange Hotel Team

Dear Cricketdad Thank you for taking the time and trouble to review your stay here with us. We're delighted that you enjoyed our lovely hotel and the comfort of your room. The views from our Front Facing bedrooms are stunning and different everytime and Morecambe Bay is a sight to behold. Great to hear that you particularly enjoyed the food options on offer at dinner and breakfast. Here at The Grange Hotel, we have our fine-dining Carriages Restaurant where guests can choose between a 2 course or 5 course dinner from our locally sourced menus. Guests looking for more informal but equally excellent food may prefer the more relaxed surroundings of the Lounge Bar where the options include more traditional meals, light platters and a range of sandwiches and snacks. We hope to be able to welcome you back to stay with us again very soon. Warm Regards Grange Hotel Team

Dear Mohan K Thank you very kindly for your 5 star review. We value all feedback, especially thoughts from returning guests. It is reassuring that you find our care and provision of a consistently high standard whenever you come to stay. Staff featured very highly in your review and I will be very glad to pass on your compliments and thanks to all those working in the hotel. They put their hearts and souls into providing an excellent level of service for all in residence with us and will be delighted that their efforts have been appreciated. Here at The Grange Hotel, we are very proud to be repeatedly selected as Conference venue for many organisations and we are pleased to provide a luxury level of hospitality and service for delegates while they are busy honing their skills, knowledge and talents. It's great to hear that the delegates appreciate the facilities and find them practically useful as well as elegant and uplifting. We cannot ask for more than that you should feel at home during your stay with us, with the added bonus of great food, which we're glad you enjoyed, and of course an extensive wine list. We're glad you mentioned the wine list. It has been recently updated and includes a few old favourites, some cheeky new arrivals, along with a few out-of-the-ordinary additions for a special celebration perhaps, or just because you feel like it - all carefully tried and tested, naturally! We hope to see you again soon. Don't feel that you need to wait for another conference, you can come and see us anytime. We look forward to seeing you soon. Warm Regards Grange Hotel Team

Good evening. It will be very easy to visit Cartmel and other local places of interest by taxi. Cartmel is only 2-3 miles from the hotel, and we have several very reliable taxi services to choose from. In addition, we have regular bus and train services if you wish to travel a bit further afield to other lovely towns and villages nearby. Examples are Kendal, Ulverston, Arnside and Silverdale, which are all great for an afternoon or morning out. If you need any more information, please don`t hesitate to get in contact. We look forward to seeing you in January!
