We visited this hotel with Blakes Tours, from Tiverton. It was a beautiful old hotel that is currently being renovated. The rooms we stayed in had been done and were very comfy, clean and pleasant. We were lucky to have a sea view. The staff were very pleasant, the food very good. The evening meal was laid out as a...

Had an overnight stay here in the Ruskin suite. The suite was lovely, with an amazing view over the sands. The room was very clean and had a good sized bathroom with a bath and shower. The dining room is really nice and also has great views. The food was of a good standard with lots of choices for dinner...

We went for a bridge event and did not stay. Parking is a nightmare. We ate bar snacks but the food was poor. They had promised us refurbished toilets this year downstairs (last year we had to go up 1.5 stories and along a hall to the toilets) and they had refurbished the ladies: it was very nice. But the...

Thank you for posting a review of your brief visit to the Grand. The hotel recently had the whole overspill car park resurfaced and lined, there is now adequate parking for residents when we are full, in fact up to 100 vehicles, which many hotels would be grateful of (as we are)......the problem last weekend which made the parking horrendous...

Super enormous old hotel with fabulous views over the estuary to Morecambe. All of the staff that we met were very helpful and pleasant. The room that we occupied was on the third floor & had a balcony. Very spacious rooms with lovely en suite. All immaculately clean.

We stayed here last weekend after our tent broke in the gale force winds. Lovely view over the estuary towards Arnside from our family room which wasn't cheap but very large and quite nice. The helpful staff were polite and chatty. The hotel is looking tired these days but must have been beautiful in its heyday, it could do with...

We stayed on a Thursday night, had an evening meal & breakfast. The hotel communal areas are certainly grand, it's a beautiful building. At 40 we appeared to be the youngest guests, this seemed to be the destination for coach trips of retired people and as such the evening entertainment etc catered to that audience, we decided to go to...

Thanks for your comments and really sorry you did not enjoy any dining experience, breakfast or dinner. The dinner menu changes everyday and the soup is homemade by the chef's everyday. Our A La Carte menu is also made to order and is priced in comparison to other hotels and restaurants in the area. The hotel does cater for guests...

We had a four night stay with an organised coach tour. Could not praise this hotel enough. Very helpful and welcoming staff for whom nothing seemed too much trouble. (Our prepaid newspaper vouchers were accepted without question and papers delivered to our bedroom.) The food at breakfast and dinner was plentiful and enjoyable. Very adequate packed lunches were provided on...
