I often eat here for sunday lunch with my family. The menu is huge and the food is great quality. You also have to rarely wait for a table and staff are very friendly. There is a nice 'inn' atmosphere with rather vintage decor which I really like compared to a lot of modern pubs.

Been here numerous times over the past year, food is always great, staff are amazing, portions are huge and desserts are fab. Excellent Sunday lunch however in a quiet location so it helps if you can drive.

My family have been using this hotel regularly over the past 12 years or more for family events, birthdays, anniversaries, Xmas parties etc. As well as for private casual dining and I have used the facilities for friends visiting from outside the area. The food is great, the staff are excellent and the prices are reasonable. So what is wrong...

Off the beaten track and although close to a busy rd there was no noise. Big comfortable bed with a nice en suite. My breakfast of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon was lovely. Pleasant helpful staff making the whole experience great. Would recommend this small hotel to anyone.

Staff were lovely. Plenty of tables to choose from from a single diner to a family. Quick to be served and knowledgeable. The chefs specials are well worth trying. Definately visit again. Also hotel accomodation with loads of free parking. Iced water was offered at the end of the bar at no charge great idea.

After an absence of many years we have lately visited the bowes incline for dinner on a few occasions now. The food is much improved with a large diverse menu on offer. Just a couple of small niggles the smoked cod dish although tasty was a little dry and over salted, and the portion sizes although good for some are...

The next 2 meals came out 10 minutes later after having to ask for them 1 meal was as ordered the other totally wrong. Was told I'd have to wait 10 minutes for...

We stopped here for 2 nights and found the room very comfortable. It had everything you needed including spare pillows. The breakfast was excellent and catered for us fussy eaters 1 vegetarian and 1 gluten free. We ate our evening meals here too and the staff at the bar and the ladies who brought the meals were very friendly. The...
