Came here for dinner whilst visiting my friend. Its a really nice, cosy local pub, full of character, and there are lots of nooks and cranny's you can sit in to eat and/or drink. The staff were really friendly and I was really impressed by the food. Full of flavour and good size portions. Me and my friend were full...

We throughly enjoyed our meal last night in this lovely historic pub. After a warm welcome from the Landlady we enjoyed delicious chicken liver pate followed by pancetta wrapped Pollock which was stunning! The quality of the food was excellent value and to a very high standard. There was great music playing and even though it was a very drizzly,...

After a chilly day walking the Coastal path and a ferry from Polruan to Fowey, the warm welcome from the landlady, plus the fire in the grate, a plate of sausage and mash and a deliciuos home made tomato soup, plus a couple pints of St.Austell Proper Job, certainly fortified us for the Fowey to Par part of our walk....

The rooms are a great size and good value for money, along with the friendly staff and quaint bar which serves great drinks and nibbles. We all orderd food before the...

What a lovely stay from start to finish. You are made to feel so welcome as soon as you walk in. This is a how a pub should be.. roaring open fires, good beer and a fantastic atmosphere. The food was way above pub standard - the chef can clearly cook extremely well. Plenty of options from light bites to...

Had lunch here today with family and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food on offer particularly the pea and crab soup. Very simple recipes cooked to perfection. Friendly staff in a classic old pub 9the oldest in Fowey I believe). Check it out you won't be disappointed.

We stayed in Fowey with friends for New Year and visited the Ship 3 times. We were all so impressed with how friendly the staff were and couldn't do enough for us. Even after our dog chased one of their cats!? Hence the pub is very dog friendly with doggy snacks! We also ate we had the 3 course set...

This is a great little pub, much nicer inside than it looks externally. It's a cozy place with an open fire and the Sunday roast is amongst the best I've had in any pub and excellent value. The welcome is genuine and enthusiastic. There's nothing not to like about this place.
