Called into the very unassuming Dwelling House whilst in Fowey for the day - (you could easily miss it along Fore street.) Had the most fantastic Cornish cream tea whilst the hubby had the toasted tea cake. Both the best we'd ever eaten. Good selection of other choices on the menu and the fresh leaf tea and coffee were superb...

Booked this on basis of earlier trip advisor reviews and in view of its location. Amazing breakfasts, very helpful hosts, loads of hot water, and being above a tearoom, excellent choice of teas and scones with a discount. Very reasonably priced and you are made very welcome by the whole staff group. Being close to the quay there is some...

Eating in the Dwelling house is always a lovely experience. We have eaten here on many times over the years, this time we took friends with us who were not only impressed by the unpretentious and laid back feel of the place, but equally the helpful and charming staff who are always ready to oblige and the wonderful food and...

We had a really lovely stay at the Dwelling House. The room was very comfortable and the location was really good (in the heart of Fowey). The breakfast was delicious and so was the food we ate in tea room. The owners were very friendly and we felt very welcome throughout our stay. Would highly recommend The Dwelling House and...

Found it by accident but very glad we did! Great selection of food (local seafood especially good), delightful staff and lovely atmosphere. Good for children and families. Will definitely be back whenever we can!

We was on a day trip to Fowey and just wanted light refreshments at lunch time. We made the choice of a Cream Teas and wasn't disappointed. The scones were both delicious and served warm with very generous helpings of jam and clotted cream. Next time we are in Fowey we will be going back for more!

Adam and his wife are the kindest of people - most caring and considerate. Me and my partner spent two nights on top of the tearoom - as there is only one guest room we were the only ones staying over night in the beautiful old house. Besides the owners themselves of course. The breakfast and complimentary scones are incredible....

An oasis of calm and refinement in a sea of bustling tourist mayhem. An incredible, delicate crab frittata, wonderful cake and sandwich selection, friendly attentive staff and a toilet in a bedroom - what more could you ask for! We'll be back.

This is really a delightful tea room, bursting with charm. The service is excellent and friendly and the decor is charming. There is a great selection of sandwiches, salads, cakes etc. I can highly recommend the crab sandwiches and the homemade soup was the best I had ever had (broccolli and blue cheese). The cakes are always absolutely delicious and...

“There is only the one room but it is extremely comfortable and you are so well taken care of as the only guests. Make sure you head to Fowey and if using a satnav make sure Fowey is entered as the postcode is thw same for the opposite side of the estuary. Outstanding break with a quality and value of food being second to none.”
