Every time I'm in cornwall I make a point of going here. There is a lovely choice of homemade cakes that are moist, unusual and really tasty. I startle to know what to choose every time. The is a cute little patio garden with lots of greenery out the back and the best thing is that the room on the...

Called in to this delightful tea room today for a cuppa and a slice of cake after visiting the Christmas Market in Fowey. Wonderfully relaxed place with friendly and welcoming staff where nothing is too much trouble. I am gluten and dairy free and this fab place happily cater for EVERYONE! ....that the toilet for café guests is not in the B&B room! I contacted the owners to ask about it and they explained that the toilet is in a room that happens to have a bed in it, but no one stays there. So don't be put off - your privacy will be assured. We intend to go there next...

There is only the one room but it is extremely comfortable and you are so well taken care of as the only guests. Nothing was too much trouble for the fantastic hosts Adam and Theresa. Very Quirkey location with extremely professional and helpful staff in the tea room. The food is to die for and the bath is large enough...

On the high street in Fowey is the Dwelling House. I had a ham toasted sandwich on granary bread with chilli jam and side salad. Simple but delicious. Hubby had sticky toffee pudding for lunch! You can choose from about 15 loose teas. They also sell the teas loose and little Japanese teapots. The staff are so friendly and went...

I had some smoked mackerel pate which came with plenty of good wholemeal toast and a good side salad. Best smoked mackerel Ive ever had. I said same to girl on till, she said if you turn round,...

Brilliant, brilliant tea shop. We go to Fowey several times a year and always make for the Dwelling House. The high standards have never dipped. Lots of high quality local produce is used. The constant attention to detail by the owners, who also have the knack of working with really pleasant and committed staff, results in the best tea room...

Incredibly friendly and prompt service and delicious food. I had the omelette and it was delicious. I like the fact that you can see the food being made in the 'open' kitchen. Would definitely return!

The Dwelling House was recommended to us by the gallery shop as you walk down from the car park and a good job too as from the outside it does not give away its little secrets easily. The rooms for the tea and lunch are very quaint but for me the real eye opener was the kitchen and the staff...

“There is only the one room but it is extremely comfortable and you are so well taken care of as the only guests. Make sure you head to Fowey and if using a satnav make sure Fowey is entered as the postcode is thw same for the opposite side of the estuary. Outstanding break with a quality and value of food being second to none.”
