We passed through Fowey last Summer and clocked it as a place to which we would like to return. We found the Galleon on the web. It is centrally located right on the water by the Polruan ferry. This is essentially a pub with rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfasts are delicious and the views from the pub... More

We popped in to find out where to have a good breakfast, they were kind enough to direct us. Due to their lovely friendliness we returned for a latte and my husband had a pint later in the day. What more can you ask for beautiful view, friendly staff, good latte and great ale! We will definitely be returning.

My third or fourth visit to the Galleon in the last three years. Two of my nephews live in the area and I have travelled down from the Greater Manchester area to attend both of their weddings. The second one was this week and we visited the Galleon twice, once with my nephews intended Jen Evans and later the same... More

Came here with my boyfriend for a 3 day break (22-25 Sept). This was a lovely pub with 7 en suite bedrooms upstairs. Greeted by the staff who are extremely welcoming and helpful. Overall the rooms were lovely, awesome bath/shower and the room was a great size for us two. The only moan I could have is that the other... More

After having first visited Fowey when living in the UK we try and visit every year. The Galleon Inn is our preferred place to stay. The best rooms are the ones overlooking the river, but this time we stayed in room 6. It is comfortable but you must remember you are staying in an active and vibrant pub that has... More

We were here for a week in Fowey and there is an abundance of delightful places to eat. We thought we would try the Galleon as one of these! Worst decision ever. The place was not very welcoming, staff were indifferent. We ordered food at the bar, required to pay in full in advance ( always makes me a little... More

When ever we call at fowey we always call in here to eat and never been disappointed. Staff friendly. I had crab sandwich husband had gammon. Would recommend anyone to visit this lovely place. Sat outside earlier with a coffee looking over the Quay.

Great few days stay in this lovely friendly pub. Lovely views, good food and nice atmosphere. Rooms are comfy and breakfast is varied and plentiful! No car park here, but you can park for free in Park Road car park, which is a 5 min walk downhill or you can pay to park near the car ferry, and have a... More

We arrived early and were promptly told our room was ready, the room was clean and looked homely ( the decor was a little dated) the bed for our 5 yr old was made up and ready which was a bonus and didn't expect as we were aware it was a pull down! Breakfasts were delicious and very filling with... More

A regular haunt of ours for a leisurely drink overlooking the quayside whenever we visit Fowey (about 2-3 times a year). Has become our chosen place to eat in Fowey too. Good food at reasonable prices. Great value. See you next time :) Only grumble is that I wish you served food all day rather than from 6pm. I also... More
