We stayed here for a night to celebrate my husband's birthday. Although the hotel and room were lovely, the dinner was absolutely exceptional. Head chef Richard Massey produced one of the best meals we've ever had. If you are are foodie, and in the Fowey area The Old Quay House is an absolute must!

Husband surprise for Valentines stayed for two nights in a superior room which was very tastefully romantically decorated with a partial view of river. The room was ample size with a small balcony, heating fully controllable with high spec bathroom and towels and all the luxuries, the bed was very comfortable and the perfect size! Staff could not be more...

Fowey is by nature a challenge to navigate in a car, narrow roads and parking only exists on the edge of the town in public car parks. However this was made very clear on the website and when we booked. It is a minor inconvenience but not a significant one. The car park cost £5 per day, which I don't...

This is a stylish & comfortable hotel with some very thoughtful touches. The set evening menu is outstanding and is a must even if you are not staying there! Good value too! Staff are helpful and courteous.

This is a lovely hotel with friendly staff and comfy beds and Fowey is beautiful. The views from the hotel are gorgeous too - we had an amazing breakfast looking out over the harbour. BUT we both thought dinner was a bit mediocre. Also, having booked a room with a balcony and view (which cost extra) we were disappointed to...

Ok. So great view, But ! Room although very glamourous with a little quirky teddy bear touch. Bed unecessarily large, more comfortable seating to enjoy would be better. A few bathroom items missing. And complimentaries dissapointing and not replenished ! Reception staff excellent but restaurant staff very indifferent. Restaurant despite rave reviews and accolades was extremely sub standard both breakfast...

We've always rented cottages in Polruan and every time we've caught the boat over to Fowey I've wanted to stay here. My hubby and I decided to treat ourselves as an xmas present for january. The hotel and rooms are absolutely stunning. Brekkie was gorgeous although I only eat a few items from a cooked breakfast and normally the chef...

We had our second trip for a quick 2 day break and again it was superb. The restaurant with a views over the estuary is really stunning, the food compliments the view 100%. Rooms are pristine and the staff outstanding. The only downside is that parking is a good distance away, which is not a deal stopper in anyway, just...

We stayed one night as we were on the hunt for somewhere to have a small wedding - from the second we walked in the door the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The rooms (we saw most of them as they shoed us around) are beautiful - not flashy but perfectly decorated, warm, cosy and homely (with real...
