The location of St. Andrew's Town Hotel is excelent, the building is great with a lot of potential and the 'front of house staff' were great. There is no restaurant (although their web-site said that there was before we booked). They 'have plans for one soon'.
Breakfast was good, either served as individual orders or as a buffet depending on occupancy level. Rooms were spacious and clean although the domestic staff did nothing other than make the bed each day, leaving towels to be replaced and bins with rubbish in.
The bar was perfectly good but without real ale as they said that te demand was low and, undestandably, it would waste.
This hotel has great potential and I wish the owners good luck in achieving it soon

My daughter & I stayed on a Saturday night in November. Comfortable bed, lovely hot, powerful shower & room as expected for the price. However, it was incredibly noisy at night. We had a very early start on the Sunday, but were kept awake until the early hours by other guests slamming doors, taking loudly & generally running riot. Not the place for a restful sleep I’m afraid. We missed breakfast as had to leave before it was served, so can’t comment on the food.

We visited for Sunday lunch! The hotel is beautifully decorated and clean with a peaceful ambience. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. All our meals were excellent and we couldn’t fault a thing.

I have done this honest review as I have given this hotel 3 weeks to reply to my complaint and they haven't even sent one apology!! So here goes ...... Booked this room as a 2nd chance as the 1st time 2 years ago we had paid extra for better rooms and did not get them so we went to reception and was given the actual rooms we had paid for! We stayed 1st July and was given a room which was actually the disabled room (Room 27) it looked lovely nice headboad twin beds and freshly painted. The TV didnt work properly and I went to reception and the lady promised to send someone at 5pm as she hadn't a clue (her words) nobody ever came. On inspection in the bathroom there were no blinds or curtain at the window so anybody outside or rooms looking in from upsatirs could see right into the shower! The windows had masses of cobwebs and the shower rails were covered in layers of dust and the floor was dirty too. Anyone who is disabled or of a larger frame would not be able to sit on the toilet face on as your legs wouldn't fit as the sink was there in front so we had to sit on the edge facing right. There was old blood on the sheets and pillows we didnt see this until the next morning. Breakfast was hit and miss the food was only warm except the toast as you did that yourself. Fried eggs were all broken and dried up and the scrambled eggs were black not from being burnt but they had been sat there for so long. Coffee was luke warm and the feet of the table has never seen a duster or had been cleaned since the last time we were there 2 years previous! There was nobody when we checked out even though check out is 11am unless you pay an extra £10 and I had to then search to hand the key in and to be honest it was two young restaurant staff I told. They didn't even ask who we were they had no interaction with any of the guests either whilst having breakfast they DID NOT obviously want to be there we told the lad that a young child had licked all the cutlery on one table and they needed replacing with clean and he did not bat an eyelid and just straightened them and left them there. In all we gave this a 2nd chance as it says its been refurbished and paid £89 for one night it was really dirty and we will never give them a 3rd chance. Also if you want a quiet nights sleep that will not happen as we were woken several times during the night with guests being loud and banging around even snoring and not considerate for any other guests!! Photo's are attached to this review.

Thank you for making our weekend of the 20-22 January 2023 so enjoyable and hope that you would be happy to accept us back again next January, for our belated Christmas celebrations. Your staff are all a credit to you; they were friendly, helpful and efficient.

We managed to get as many names as possible but apologise if any have been missed, so thanks to Terri-Anne, Sophia, Kian, Liam and especially Matt, who delighted us all at breakfast with his cheeky chappy personality and of course Jo Dempster, for helping us to organise our event, both with reserving rooms, coping with a few changes and sorting the menu. Please thank all your staff and of course the chefs, for looking after us so well.

You catered for our party of 15 on Saturday evening, despite a slight hiccup with the extra couple but this was easily resolved. The choice, quality and quantity of food served both for breakfast and on Saturday evening were great.

The rooms were nicely decorated, comfortable, clean and catered for our needs, although I believe some of our party were a little warm overnight, as the heating was left on due to the extreme drop in temperature outside.

My only issue would be to do with the size of the cups in the rooms, personally I like a mug or large cup for my first morning brew and in my opinion teapots at breakfast, would be a bonus.

The town of Droitwich and surrounding area was a delight to explore, with plenty more to see in 2024.

Booked a family group for Sunday lunch on last Sunday in November. Very impressed with the booking process online. A good selection/variety of dishes on the menu Great, service from very friendly and attentive staff who took account of young grandchildren who were with us The setting is very nice and dining room relaxed warm and inviting. We had various dishes from the Sunday lunch menu. The succulent beef and pork were particularly worthy of praise -everything very tasty including starters Would highly recommend

It is under new management seemingly and there is a lot of work to be done. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable, but the decor of the common rooms downstairs is extremely tatty-looks more like a dodgy hostel than a hotel. The cooked breakfast was the worst I think I have ever had in a hotel or B and B-deep fried and microwaved, except for the poached egg. We try to book small hotels as we like to avoid big chains, and this may well be a work in progress but sadly it was not pleasant. Staff on reception also not the most professional. I do not expect staff to continue a conversation when guests are waiting; a simple 'I am sorry to keep you' if the conversation is urgent would have been fine, but not acknowledging your presence is not acceptable. If you're in the area and don't need to be in Droitwich itself I would suggest The Crown at Wychbold-almost half the price and so much nicer.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you felt this way as the hotel had a full refurbishment only 12 months ago and our maintenance team work hard keeping to a monthly rolling worksheet for the whole building. Due to the amount of traffic we have come through the door we have constant improvements that need to be completed. All of our breakfast are cooked fresh to order each morning. Kind regards

We booked and afternoon tea with colleagues one of them had her 7 week old baby with her. The room they put us in was cold. Heater in there but not switched on. When we booked we requested one vegetarian option and one without pork. We also told them that we were on a tight time schedule because we had to get back to work. We didn’t get any food until 55 minutes after arrival. We were told that the chef had a family emergency so couldn’t get the food ready for us. We also explained that their website priced the afternoon tea at £14:95 and they told us it would be £19:95 and that the website was no longer owned by them. We aired our complaint to the staff before we ate anything that we were exceptionally disappointed with the amount of food we got for £20 per head and the fact that the hot drinks were cold. Eventually the staff spoke to management and they authorised the charge of £14:95 and any other drink we would like. Overall disgusted.

We had a 2 night stay at the St. Andrews for a gathering of friends. We had a very warm welcome from the staff and felt valued at all times. We had an issue with our accessible room, in that there was no seat in the shower. This was quickly resolved with a room swap to a more suitable one.
Our breakfasts were plentiful and of good quality. My only suggestion would be to either have larger cups or have teapots. Matt who was in charge of the breakfasts is a real asset to the team, friendly, efficient and a great sense of humour. All hotels should have a Matt!
We had a private dining room for our get together. The staff again worked very hard to keep us happy. We enjoyed our meals which were served promptly
The hotel is within walking distance of Droitwich for those who enjoy a stroll. Taxis are available for those with mobility restrictions. Droitwich is well worth a visit with its history of salt production, canals, history and welcoming pubs.
We would recommend the St. Andrews and would certainly consider returning.

Went with friends to celebrate birthdays. Good service but overpriced at £19.95 each for food we got. 2 tiny finger sandwiches, slice of rock hard garlic bread with shop bought egg mayo on top(??!), butt end of a wrap. 2 cake pieces 1” each, a macaron and a sliver of cheesecake. Only thing home made was a scone. Receptionist didn’t know cost when we went to pay and more interested in chatting to the numerous colleagues around the reception area. Sorry but I wouldn’t recommend.
