Beautifully furnished 4 poster ensuite room. Faultless breakfast overlooking garden area with views over fields and hills. The bedroom even had a plastic tray to store our muddy walking boots - excellent idea. Perfectly placed at the edge of the Forest of Dean and you want to go walking look no further. Lindy and Chris our hosts are full of knowledge of the area and very willing to share it with us. Room lovely and clean. Bed the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Hosts very friendly and helpful and provided a delicious breakfast. Cycling in The Forest of Dean an amazing experience-chose autumn to enjoy the tree colours.

Excellent location. 2 mins from loads of walks around the river wye and Symonds Yat. Nice rooms and a great breakfast. Very friendly. Ideal for couples or small groups. 10 mins walk from the local pub with great food (and sky tv). But you need to book if you want to eat. Remember to take a torch as you will... More

The Rock more than lived up to expectations. Large comfortable bed, spectacular views, great cooked breakfasts and good October weather. Chris and Lindy were charming and welcoming hosts and so knowledgeable about the area. We loved it all, including their two friendly dogs and ponies. Stayed for a couple of nights last week and had a lovely time. Accommodation is very comfortable and perfect location .Breakfast generous and sausages the best I have ever tasted. Beautiful walks from the door step. Lindy and Chris very welcoming all Perfect.

Been to a few B&Bs in the area and the Rock is one of our favourite's so we've been going back a fair few times. Location: Great, places to walk nearby (Symond's Yat) and good base to explore from. Actual location is view pretty with great views of the valley and forest. Rooms: Modern, clean, warm and comfortable and cozy.... More

We were looking for somewhere to take our newborn away for a couple of nights, had a lovely stay, all needs catered for and a brilliant location. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to explore the area, great maps given for local walks etc
