We were attending a wedding at the castle and decided to stay at the angel as was quite close to venue and very reasonably priced. When we checked in we inquired about taxis and receptionist asked what times we would like and went on and ordered them for us. The room was clean spacious and warm. The bar was friendly...

Firstly I do not normally leave Tripadvisor reviews however felt other visitors need to be aware. We are tourists to this area on holiday are from the East. The town Coleford seemed to be nearest Market town for the Forest of Dean camp sites and as tourists the Angel Hotel seemed to look the largest venue in the town so...

We have visited The Angel hotel many times, for both breakfast and lunch. We have always had a really warm and friendly greeting. The food has always been superb. The breakfast is highly recommended, we've never left feeling disappointed or hungry. Their lunch menu does lack steak but does make up with its other choices, especially the local faggets. Highly...

We stopped over in room 101 whilst attending a wedding at Clearwell Castle...it was just a few minutes drive to the the castle and caves and other local activities. There is a varied pub menu and an attached coffee shop where I had a nice cool drink on a comfy sofa. The staff were friendly and our room was very...

This was my first visit to The Angel Hotel, I ordered a snack and very much enjoyed it. The service was excellent, friendly, a relaxed atmosphere. When I'm next in the Coleford area I know where to go might even book in for a nights stay.

We were trying to find somewhere to eat a roast dinner with our 2 dogs on New Year's Day, after 4 unsuccessful attempts at various establishments around Coleford and surrounding area our last attempt was The Angel Hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, the food was good and we thought quite reasonably priced and the...
