We have just returned from a two night stay in this hotel staying in a bedroom for the disabled. (Room 203 ) Everything was perfect, plenty of room for the wheelchair and lots of grab rails in the wet room. Food was good, staff very helpful & considerate. Spa facilities were also very good. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

A friend's birthday; 6 adults and a teeny person for 3 days. 2 couples ended up with newly redecorated rooms which were smart, nice nod to the nautical theme, comfy albeit small and absolutely stunk of fresh paint! No rooms of the same grade to move into. These clearly should not have been in action and despite obvious airing that...

I'm currently staying in room 314 at the Christchurch harbour spa hotel, where I have taken my girlfriend on a birthday treat. The hotel is very nice, however the room (314) is situated very closely to the kitchen. I've been kept awake all night and woken again at 530am by noises coming from the kitchen, it's constant and very loud....

We spent 3 nights here in March on a D,B & B basis. The property must have been recently updated as the plastic furniture in the Harbour view bedroom still smelt strongly of chemicals, we needed to keep the balcony doors open whenever we were in the room. The mattresses had thick duvet like toppers which were very uncomfortable and...

We were given a voucher for afternoon Tea last year and choose a Sunday afternoon in late Jan for the Afternoon Tea. We had great expectations but it just didn't hit the spot. The service was hit & miss. The quality of the Afternoon Tea was average and that's being nice. Tea or Coffee should be refilled without having to...

Dear Chris, Thank you for your review, I am sad to hear that you did not enjoy your afternoon tea. If I could ask you to contact the hotel directly to give us some more information of why this was that would be very much appreciated. Regards

We spent a couple of nights here in mid-march, unfortunately a heavy sea mist shrouded the area for both days, possibly influencing the review! The CHH&S is modern, impeccably clean, has great service and, we could almost visualise the wonderful views. However, despite this, we felt the prices charged did not reflect the quality of the hotel or the food...

Dear Pam B, Thank you for your review, Unfortunately at the hotel we are not in control of the weather though we would love to be. We are glad that you found the cleanliness and service up to standard. In regards to having the window open all of our Garden View rooms have French doors that have a lockable security...

Went to the hotel to celebrate our friends birthday... we had the spa experience which although small and quite claustrophobic was a great time .. the food was excellent and staff lovely but sadly to say all let down by the state of the bedrooms ... very tired and in need of updating to match the reception rooms on the...

With its gorgeous views, amazing staff, delectable food and yummy cocktails CHH is always first on my list! The hotel is perfect if you enjoying drinking and eating on a deck with a splendid view. The Jetty has the most divine food and one normally needs to book due to the high demand. Alex creates the most amazing food combinations....

A last minute overnight break which was up and down but overall quite disappointing. First the good stuff - staff are friendly, and sorted a problem with our room quickly and without fuss. The spa treatment was lovely. Service in the restaurant was good. But the other side - the family room door didn't fit and is possibly the noisiest...

Having visited the hotel twice before, we booked via email and asked for the same room that we had on the last occasion as it was very nice. Upon entering room 218 we were assailed by the extremely strong odour of paint and/or chemical smell. We opened the doors that led onto the terrace to 'air' the room and hoped...
