Have visited the Lord Bute for many years celebrating birthdays and our anniversary. We have made such lovely friends of the staff over the years, but our last visit will be our last. 'If if ain't broke don't fix it' comes to mind. Many thanks to Chris, Terry and staff for some lovely memories.

We arrived at The Lord Bute on 02.03.24, for an overnight stay, as we were going to a party nearby. From the moment we arrived, we received a warm and friendly welcome, from attentive staff. The restaurant, bar and hotel are all lovely to a high standard, and all members of staff were great.

Our Ramblers & Amblers lunch in the restaurant meant that it was a very busy time for the staff, who coped admirably. The food was excellent and well presented, and the waiters engaged with their customers in a polite and often humorous way. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience, and I look forward to visiting the Lord Bute again.

View from window was of maintenance ladder/tools. Tea tray with airplane milk. No fridgerator or mini bar. Mirror cracked in bathroom & holey gap at end of bath with broken bin as well. Broken drawer on wardrobe too. Dresser cup stained. Large bed zipped in middle, kept rolling into middle dip, uncomfortable. Cleaner in joggers & football shirt with cleaning utensils walked through us eating our breakfast not acceptable. She should have walked longer way round through other dining area. Not enough parking & even though requested it on request form no space. Double yellow lines everywhere nearby! Disappointed overall.

Felt I had to leave a review. Today we went for lunch to celebrate my fathers birthday and had a superb meal accompanied by outstanding service. This establishment should be extremely proud to have these two on their team! They made my father's day. Thankyou!!

We attended the New Years Eve celebrations and thoroughly enjoyed the evening / early hours. The four course meal was delicious. Music, disco and dancing was truly wonderful, everyone joined in. It was a wonderful atmosphere throughout. Staff worked so well to provide a discreet service.

My sister and I were on a visit to the area and stayed here. The rooms were so relaxing, and comfortable with a great sized bathroom. The breakfast the next morning was plentiful and delicious. I look forward to coming back to stay again! What a gem in a great area.

Lovely large room and bathroom, big comfy bed. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. We were here for a family wedding and it was the perfect location for the ceremony at Highcliffe Castle, just a few minutes walk away.
